“My journey at Sandwell College so far has been rich and surrounded with fun, new and exciting opportunities based around my passion of aviation.

During my first year of my Level 3 Course of Aviation and Travel, I am proud to have managed to accomplish an enormous amount of career based challenges at a level which has perplexed me in such a rewarding way.

Varying from getting to the final stages of a job with easyJet to now on my way to concluding my paperwork and commence employment with the Royal Air Force, this could not even be imaginable upon my wildest dreams without the supporting, caring and engagement I have received from both the teaching team and my peers throughout my first year (Melissa, Anna, Lucy and Aisha)!

The knowledge and in depth manner of which my teachers go through has not only given me a further insight into the industry, but has also assisted me along the way in my part time job of which I work on a live and active airport!!

Overall, I am thrilled to continue my journey Sandwell College and fulfil any advantageous opportunity which the department and college have to offer as well as hopefully be able to replicate my previous year in surplus in terms of motivation, industry specific education, and of course… the international and domestic trips like Norway and and Airside Pass to Birmingham Airport last year!” ✈️🌎🚀🤩

Staff and students at the Sandwell College family of colleges across the West Midlands have been celebrating record A Level, T Level and BTEC success, ahead of what promises to be another buzzing enrolment season. Sandwell College Group Principal and Chief Executive, Graham Pennington, said: “We’ve had another exceptional year across the Sandwell family of colleges: Sandwell College, Cadbury Sixth Form College and Central Saint Michael’s Sixth Form College – reflecting the dedication and resilience of our students, and the outstanding support provided by our dedicated staff.

“We have also achieved outstanding results from our students studying BTECs and other vocational qualifications. While we’ve seen a record number of applications this year, we still have availability for young people who haven’t yet applied. Enrolment begins on Thursday August 22nd, and we welcome those eager to take the next step in their education to come and visit, including those who are concerned about their GCSE results - there is nothing to worry about and we are here to guide all learners through to the next steps - simply visit us during enrolment to start your new chapter with us."
