URGENT!!!! URGENT!!!! URGENT!!!!

After a stable few years at our rehearsal venue in Ladywood, (with the added bonus of a large storage area for our sets, costumes and props at a very reasonable price), Youth Onstage (YOS) once again find ourselves looking for a new home.

Ideally, a place with a storage area and a large room for rehearsals but we know that we may also need to store everything in one place and rehearse in another.

So.....do we know anyone who can suggest any venues please? We know there are whole buildings virtually empty across Birmingham but how could we access them? Any help at all would be very much appreciated. Please share, comment below, DM Deb Lowe or email [email protected]

The NEU Executive has confirmed that the preliminary pay ballot will start on Saturday 24th September - this will be an online ballot and an email will go to members in the ballot group early that morning. There are always people who don’t get their ballot emails and it’s usually because their membership details are incorrect. PLEASE CHECK!

A decade of Government neglect on teacher pay has left many facing a cost-of-living crisis.

Year on year, teachers are more out of pocket while pay is frozen.

. The National Education Union believes all teachers deserve a pay rise.

Since 2010 school teachers in England have lost at least 17% of their pay. And the Government imposed another pay freeze in 2021. Enough is enough.

The NEU is fighting for an 8% pay increase this year and a further 8% next year.
