Last Wednesday, we welcomed our new Year 12 students and families for a highly successful Sixth Form Welcome Event, giving students the information, support and confidence needed to make a strong start to their A Level studies.

We were also proud to launch our first-ever Bursary Shop, providing eligible students with free revision materials, stationery and study resources to help remove barriers to success.

A great evening showcasing our commitment to supporting every student to achieve their goals.

A thank you from the Principal to everyone who came along to our Year 7 open events last week! 🎉 It was great to see so many of you and to be able to show you around our fantastic school.

If you have any questions for us, we're still here! Please get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

✨ Applications for year 7 entry in 2027 are now open via your local authority. The deadline for applications is 31 October 2026.

We also have our Open Morning for families to come and see the school on Saturday 24 October 2026 from 10:00am - 12:00pm. For further details, please contact the Academy directly.

We’re pleased to share that our Academy has achieved the Inclusive Attendance Bronze Award, recognising the progress made during the first year of the Trust-wide Inclusive Attendance programme.

The award recognises the work taking place across our school community to strengthen attendance practice, understand the reasons behind absence and identify barriers earlier so that pupils and families can receive the right support.

As part of the programme, Academy leaders and attendance teams have been developing a shared understanding of attendance and looking at how everyone across the school community can play a role in supporting positive attendance.

The work was celebrated at the Trust’s Inclusive Attendance Conference at the new Shireland Training Centre in Oldbury. Colleagues came together to review national attendance data, consider emerging trends and reflect on the next steps in developing their practice.

Regular attendance gives children and young people access to learning, relationships and the wider experiences of school life. The Bronze Award recognises the foundations we have established, and we’ll continue to build on this work as we progress towards the Silver Award.
