🎓💙💛 What a wonderful way to celebrate our amazing Year 6 children!
After sharing their leavers' assembly with families, the children enjoyed a whole host of fun activities, including a water fight, shirt signing, ice creams, inflatable races and plenty of laughter. We finished the day in true Abbey Road style with a rousing rendition of School's Out!
We are incredibly proud of everything this fantastic group has achieved and know they will go on to do amazing things. Good luck, Year 6 – you'll always be part of the Abbey Road family. 💙✨

🧗‍♀️ Year 1 had a fantastic time at Clip 'n Climb as part of Sports and Health Week!
The children showed great determination and resilience, setting themselves personal goals and challenging themselves to reach new heights. It was wonderful to see them encouraging one another and celebrating their achievements. A brilliant day full of fun! ⭐💪

🏅🌍 After being postponed during the recent heatwave, our key stage 2 Potted Sports event took place during the final week of term.
Competing in Commonwealth country teams, the children tackled a range of fun sporting challenges, showing brilliant teamwork, determination and encouragement throughout. There were lots of smiles, plenty of cheering and some fantastic sporting performances.
Huge congratulations to Team Australia for taking the overall victory; 🇦🇺🏆 many thanks to our parent volunteers and well done to everyone for taking part!

🇪🇸 ¡Hola España! ✈️☀️
Acorn and Conker classes set off on an exciting imaginary adventure to Spain! Armed with their suitcases and handmade passports, they boarded their "flight" in the school hall before landing ready for a day of fun.
The children enjoyed tasting tapas, splashing about at the beach and water park, and soaking up the Spanish sunshine before boarding their flight home.
A wonderful day of creativity, imagination and learning through play. ¡Buen viaje! 🌴🏖️🛫

Year 5 enjoyed their visit to the National Justice Museum, where they stepped back in time to explore the history of crime and punishment through the ages. ⚖️
The children took part in a courtroom trial, hearing the evidence before deciding the fate of Isabella Makin. It was a fantastic, hands-on experience that brought their learning to life and gave everyone a real insight into how justice has changed over the years.

What a fantastic Sports & Health Week we've had!
From scooter, BMX, yoga and trampoline workshops to year group tournaments, sports days, OPAL play sessions, bike races and games led by our brilliant Year 6 Sports Leaders, the children have been active in so many different ways.
It has been wonderful to see the children challenging themselves, encouraging one another, trying something new and, most importantly, having fun! 🏅😊

What an awesome few days we've had in Whitby with year 6! 🐚🌊
From fossil hunting and ghost stories to boat trips and souvenir shopping, we've packed so much into our residential and had plenty of fun and laughter along the way. We're heading home a little tired and ready for our own beds, but with lots of fantastic memories and stories to tell.

What an adventure for our older Bike Club members! 🚴🌲
Our cyclists had an amazing time on their residential, exploring the trails around Sherwood Forest.
As well as enjoying plenty of time on two wheels, the children loved spending time with their friends, making memories and having lots of fun together.
A huge thank you to all the staff and volunteers who made this fantastic experience possible.

Our Wellbeing Councillors had a fantastic day at NottAlone Live with Mrs Lovett.
They took part in inspiring workshops, learnt more about children's mental health and wellbeing, and discovered the many services available to support young people and their families.
They returned to school full of ideas and useful information, which will help us continue to promote positive mental health and wellbeing across school.
