There's absolutely no doubt it can be much more expensive to buy gluten free stuff.

And putting the oven on is probably more expensive today than it has ever been.

❓So which should we be doing: buying a gluten free treat or making one?

I took my brownies - and I worked it out.

A supermarket brand GF brownie and this one. Same weight compared.

💰Packet: 49p
🪙Homemade: 25p including the oven cost

🎉 HALF!! 🎉

And no prizes for guessing which one was dry and sugary and which one was soft and squidgy.

So I know it's tempting to think

❌ I'll just buy something
❌ It's too expensive
❌ It's not worth the effort

but let me help you so it comes easily to you.

If you didn't know this was gluten free, would you turn it down?

It kind of turns things on its head if you don't actually tell everyone 'sorry, it's gluten free'.

Because you can just tell those who need to know. And I guarantee with this lemon cake, no-one else even noticed.

It isn't dry, gritty, sandy or crumbly...
..and with the lemon being packed in 3 different ways I can't begin to describe how zingy it tastes!
