Here’s some of the amazing work the Year 7 & 8 Accelerated groups have been doing in lessons recently. The 8’s have really enjoyed experiments and investigations in science and using different tools in Technology. The year 7 pupils have been examining why Romans used mosaics and created their own as part of a Romans/art project.

Well Mr Latimer and 7B1 came up with a brilliant way to remember and understand the four different methods of coastal erosion by practicing ‘Coastal Kung Fu’ adopting four Kung Fu moves to represent each erosion.

The physical demonstration of coastal erosion can be used in the future as an aide-memoire for revision purposes.

7B1 were conducting a fieldwork investigation into the effects of weathering in the local area.

They were looking for evidence of freeze-thaw, biological and chemical weathering.

Pupils made annotated sketches and brief descriptions of the different types of weathering.
