💪 Tug of War Challenge 💪

Before the summer break, we held a Tug of War Challenge on the field, bringing students and staff together for some friendly competition, teamwork and plenty of determination!

Teams worked together, encouraged each other and showed great sportsmanship as they battled it out to see who could claim victory. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, supporting one another and creating some brilliant memories together.

☀️ Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your summer! 🌊

The summer holidays are well underway, and many of us will be enjoying time around water, whether that’s at the beach, swimming pool, lakes or rivers. These moments are a great opportunity to have fun, relax and create memories, but it’s important to remember how we can stay safe.

Take a look at our water safety tips to help keep everyone safe this summer:

🏊 Always swim where it is safe and supervised
👀 Keep an eye on friends and family around water
⚠️ Follow signs, warnings and local advice
🌊 Be aware of the hidden dangers of open water
⭐ Float on your back to survive if you get into difficulty

A few simple steps can make a big difference and help everyone enjoy the summer safely.

📚 Literature Club Trip 📚

Before the summer break, our Literature Club enjoyed a fantastic enrichment trip to Telford Library and Waterstones Telford!

The group spent time exploring a wide range of books, discussing different genres and authors, and choosing new reads to enjoy. They also enjoyed sharing recommendations, relaxing with their books, and making thoughtful choices within a set budget when selecting titles to purchase.

A brilliant opportunity to encourage reading for pleasure, build confidence and independence, and celebrate the enjoyment that books can bring.

🧸✨ A Summer of Special Memories ✨🧸

To honour the memory of a much-loved peer who we sadly lost earlier this year, two of our pupils have named an Air Ambulance memory bear. The name was chosen independently by both pupils, making it an especially meaningful way to remember their friend while creating new, positive memories together.

Throughout the summer holidays, they will take turns taking the memory bear on their adventures, sharing photos and stories of where it has been along the way. When they return to school, they will use these shared experiences to write about the memory bear's adventures, celebrating their connection, strengthening their bond, and keeping the memory of their friend alive in a positive and supportive way.
