We are running some fun Musical theatre workshops at Digswell Village Hall on Tuesday 12th April. We’ll be learning songs, dances, and looking at scripts & character work. All abilities welcome. I’d like to say a huge well done to 105 (!!!) of our students who have taken their LAMDA Acting and Verse & Prose Exams this month at LAR Tring, LAR Welwyn & WGC and LAR Brixton.
(45 in Tring, 22 in Welwyn and 38 in Brixton). Well done to all of you!

And a huge thanks to our Vice-Principal, Julius who coached every single student for their monologues, duologues and poems! A really mammoth task, we are so lucky to have you!

Huge congratulations to Charlotte Winston - WINNER of Watford Drama Festival Solo Monologue School Years 5 & 6 Class S51.2 with the monologue ‘Evacuee’ 🥇 An amazing achievement! Charlotte has also been invited to compete for a Trophy at the Speech and Drama Junior Finale Concert too!

Huge congratulations Alinah! Awarded a trophy for your performance of ‘Quiet’ from Matilda at Chesham Arts Festival 🏆 very proud!

Congratulations to Matilda & Alinah who have both been invited to perform at the Final Winners Concert for Chesham Arts Festival! Matilda with the poem ‘The Tyger’ by William Blake and Alinah with the song ‘Quiet’ from Matilda by Tim Minchin. It is a real honour to be asked to perform, well done girls! 👏🏼🤩

🌟 LAR Welwyn & WGC Summer School - show in a week! Save the dates 22nd-26th August at Thalian Hall in WGC 🌟

Incredibly proud of Tenzin age 8, who has been invited to attend training workshops for a West End show after auditioning for them last year! 🎶

🥳 And just like that, LAR Performing Arts is 4! I can’t believe it’s been four years since we opened our first branch, and I couldn’t be prouder of the LAR family, and all we’ve achieved. In the last four years, we’ve seen students make their West End debuts, we’ve seen students cast in feature films, our pop choir has featured on a single that topped the iTunes classical charts, we’ve maintained a 100% LAMDA & Trinity Exam success rate and (perhaps more importantly) we’ve all had so much fun singing, acting and dancing! I can’t wait to see what the next four years bring 🎉

Our classes at LAR Welwyn & WGC start again next week! This term is our LAMDA term for all those who would like to take their exams (these count towards UCAS points).
