High Flyer Daniel McGhie celebrated 10 Level 9s and a Level 8 yesterday. Daniel has always been fabulously driven and threw himself into every aspect of school life. A founding member of our Innovators programme, with a passion for Science in particular, Daniel has made the most of all the opportunities Sherrardswood has to offer.

Welcome to our Sixth Form - Mrs Theodoulou
Huge congratulations to everyone receiving their GCSE results today! 🎉 We are incredibly proud of the hard work, resilience and determination our students have shown to reach this milestone.
We are also delighted to be welcoming our new Year 12 cohort to Sherrardswood Sixth Form. We look forward to supporting and inspiring them as they take this exciting next step and work towards their future ambitions.

I am incredibly proud of the GCSE results you have achieved. Behind every grade are hours of learning, revision, resilience, challenge and, at times, probably a fair amount of stress! You have shown what you can achieve when you believe in yourselves and keep going.
Your dedication and hard work throughout the year have been exemplary, and these impressive results are a reflection of both your efforts and the support from our amazing staff.

Amazing atmosphere at school today as our Year 11s received their fantastic results. With a bumper crop of Level 7 to 9 grades, this represents a fantastic year of personal achievement. Teachers and parents could not be prouder of these wonderful young people. With 35% grades at Level 7 and above, and a value added score of 0.58 across the cohort, this fully reflects the efforts of all involved. Several students were delighted to receive scholarship offers for our Sixth Form on the strength of their results. A truly happy day for our community.

Head Girl, Bea Layton, celebrates her fantastic results this morning with a huge leap in the air. As a dancer who competes internationally, an impressive jump is just another string to her bow!! Bea is part of a group of 6 students who will be heading to Oxford Brookes, her course is Sport and Exercise Science. We wish Bea and all her friends the best of success and happiness.

Celebrating the Sherrardswood Class of 2026

Today we are incredibly proud to celebrate our A Level students and everything they have achieved.

Brooke, below, is celebrating 4A*s as she prepares to head off to Kings College London. Brooke joined Sherrardswood in Year 2 and has made the most of every opportunity. She will be joined in London by Danko who will be studying Russian and History at UCL. With 4 students heading to York, 6 to Oxford Brookes (nearly 20% of the year group!!) and other students taking places at Durham, Exeter, Nottingham and Loughborough - the atmosphere at Sherrardswood this morning was genuinely joyous.

A value-added score of +0.4, reflects the impressive progress that our students make within our non-selective school.
