So we close another chapter in the life of Parkway Preschool. The staff would like to thank all the parents for the generous gifts and beautiful messages. We thank you for your support and it has been, (and is), a privilege to welcome your children here. We especially wish all those children about to start a new journey at a new school- we know you will do well! Have a wonderful, peaceful and restful summer!

Today we took messy play to a whole new level of fun! The children explored coloured foam, investigating its texture, consistency, smell, and the way the colours mixed together. They used descriptive language to talk about what they could see and feel, making predictions as the colours blended.

As we near the end of term, we can reflect on some of our activities! We were lucky, (and grateful), to have a doctor visit us! We listened to the story "Topsy and Tim visit the doctor". We explored the skeleton, using a book and the children enjoyed role playing as doctors with the teddies! The children looked at real life x rays too!

Football fever!! We have heard some stories such as "Daddy got up at midnight" and how exciting the World Cup is! We have talked about football and the different countries involved. Some of the children told us about countries that parents or grandparents come from too. The children enjoyed painting some of the flags! We thought they did a great job, some of the flags were painted accurately! What do you think?
