4Kidz Childcare at Gosling is a small and friendly day nursery near the centre of Welwyn Garden City. Children of all ages enjoy singing and story times.

Located within Gosling Sports Park our lovely day nursery offers plenty of opportunities for children to explore, grow and learn. We offer full and part time day nursery places for children from the age of 3 months to 5 years. There are limited spaces for Free Early Education and Childcare, for three and four years olds, some two years olds are also eligible. We are open from 07:30-18:00 Monday to Friday, with the exception of Bank Holidays and the Christmas week. We recognise that every child is unique and has individual needs, so our highly qualified and experienced staff ensure that each child is nurtured and every day is special, enabling them to grow and learn through our in the moment planning. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, offering a vast range of activities both indoors and outdoors. Ofsted say:

• Staff provide good opportunities for promoting children's physical skills. Children freely explore a wide range of activities and experiences in the well-equipped outside area, such as creating their own dinosaur swamp by adding water to the sand they use.

• The nursery environment is warm and welcoming. Staff implement appropriate policies and procedures to ensure that children are cared for in safe and secure premises.

• Children's speech and language development is promoted well. They are motivated and eager to join in with activities that are enjoyable and interesting. This promotes good opportunities for their growing communication and language skills.

• The management team evaluates the setting well to support continuous improvements. Managers review and evaluate planned and spontaneous activities to ensure that they continually provide opportunities for children to make good progress.

Messy play & growing independence!

Our 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗴𝘀 have been getting stuck into lots of messy play fun!

Meanwhile, our 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 have been practising their independence by making pizzas, cutting fruit, putting on their wellies for puddle splashing, washing hands and pots, and choosing their own stories.

Lots of fun, learning, and “I can do it myself!” moments this week!

There’s no need to disrupt your child’s routine by moving them into a school nursery before Reception. At 4Kidz Childcare, we offer Free Early Years Education so your child can stay with us right up until they start school, supporting continuity in care, learning, and development.

You can also continue with your current daycare hours, with funded hours deducted from your invoice.

We offer Free Early Years Education all year round (not term-time only):
• 15-hour funding: delivered as 11 hours per week throughout the year
• 30-hour funding: delivered as 22 hours per week throughout the year

To secure a funded place, we require an eligibility code along with completed funding forms.

We also offer childcare funding for children aged 9 months and above; get in touch to find out more.

We had the loveliest Teddy Bears’ Picnic at nursery! All the children brought along their favourite teddy bears, and we spent the day singing teddy bear songs, enjoying lots of fun, and sharing a delicious picnic.

Our older children even helped choose the picnic food, making it extra special! A wonderful day filled with cuddly friends, happy little faces, and lots of lovely memories.
