Last week, our Y4 pupils enjoyed exploring fascinating Anglo-Saxon artefacts and bringing history to life by using iPads to discover treasures in augmented reality. π±βοΈ
They also had the opportunity to explore incredible artefacts from cultures around the world, making it a truly memorable learning experience. πποΈ
A huge well done to all of Y4 for being such fantastic ambassadors for the school and making the most of this fabulous trip! πβ

βοΈ Year 2 at the Royal Air Force Museum! π
The children explored a fascinating range of aircraft, asked lots of thoughtful questions, and discovered how flight has developed throughout history. They also got creative by designing their own squadron badges and took part in an exciting flight workshop, where they acted out different flying objects and put their paper plane skills to the test!
A fantastic day full of learning, creativity, and fun. π

Today we held the first of our KS2 Stay and Read sessions, and it was wonderful to see so many parents and carers join us to share that valuable reading time with their child. πβ€οΈ
A reminder that Year 4βs Stay and Read is tomorrow, Year 5βs is on Thursday, and Year 6βs is on Friday.
We look forward to welcoming many more of you into school over the rest of the week! π

Before half term, we celebrated Peartreeβs very first Cultural Day, organised by our fantastic School Council! πβ¨
The children had an amazing time travelling around the world, taking part in activities in classrooms themed around different countries. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the day, and the children looked incredible in their cultural outfits.
Mr Parker and the School Councillors were so impressed by the effort, enthusiasm, and creativity shown by everyone. A huge thank you to all the parents who kindly prepared and shared food for everyone to try at the end of the day β it was a wonderful way to celebrate the many cultures within our school community. π

Year 1 have been busy learning how to follow a recipe and prepare three healthy fruits, carefully cutting and juicing to create delicious, refreshing smoothies! πππ
Some children were especially adventurous, adding avocado simply because they hadnβt tried it before! π₯ We are so proud of their confidence, teamwork and willingness to try new things. Amazing work, Year 1! π

Today, Year 4 became prehistoric storytellers and creature creators! ππ¦΄
The children explored real fossils, including ammonites, a Spinosaurus tooth and even a Megalodon tooth, to inspire their imaginative writing. Using these incredible artefacts, they carefully thought about the size, diet, habitat and appearance of their own undiscovered prehistoric creatures. π¦β¨

πβ³οΈ What an incredible day for our Year 4 Tri-Golf Team! β³οΈπ
Today, our amazing Year 4 tri-golf team travelled to Brocket Hall to compete in a range of golf activities, including putting and chipping. We were blown away by their fantastic skills, teamwork, and determination throughout the morning.
Not only did they perform brilliantly β they won the entire competition against 11 schools! π₯π
We are so proud of every single one of them for representing the school so well. A huge thank you also goes to Mr Edwards for accompanying the team and supporting them with their practice.

Yesterday reception celebrated Earth day! We explored the importance of recycling and reusing materials, and even made our own paper from old scrapsβbeautifully decorated with blossom!
The children also took on the role of ocean protectors, cleaning up our βoceanβ to help keep the sea creatures safe.
To finish, we got creative and designed our very own Planet Earth!π
