Our Reception class had an absolute blast during their very first Forest School session this week! 🍃✨

After reading The Gruffalo, our little adventurers stepped into the “deep dark woods” for an afternoon full of imagination and hands-on fun:

📚 Storytime in Nature: Brought The Gruffalo to life surrounded by the trees.

🏃‍♂️ Gruffalo Freeze: Burned off some energy testing out our best woodland creature freezes!

🐿️ Animal Habitats: Built cozy, custom homes for our woodland animal friends.

🏡 Team Shelter: Worked together to craft one giant habitat for the whole class to gather in.

We love seeing our youngest learners build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the great outdoors. Here’s to many more wild adventures! 🍁🪵

As another fantastic school year comes to an end, we’d like to say a huge thank you to our amazing Peartree community for your continued support throughout the year. 🍐

🌟 What a show! 🌟

Our Year 6 pupils wowed us with their fantastic production of Hercules! From their incredible singing and energetic dance routines to their brilliant acting, they truly blew us away. We couldn’t be prouder of every single performer for all their hard work and confidence on stage. 🎭✨

A huge thank you also goes to Mrs Simpson and Miss Bradley for all the time, dedication and effort they put into bringing the production to life. It was a performance to remember!

This week, we said goodbye to a true Peartree legend. 💚

After an incredible 35 years at Peartree, Mrs Pratt is beginning a well-deserved retirement. During her time with us, she has supported and inspired more than 1,000 children with her kindness, patience and unwavering dedication.

We celebrated Mrs Pratt with a special assembly, followed by an afternoon tea to thank her for everything she has given to our school.

Mrs Pratt, thank you for your years of care, commitment and compassion. You have made a lasting difference to so many lives, and your legacy will always be part of Peartree.

From all the children, staff and families, we wish you a happy and relaxing retirement. You will always be part of the Peartree family. 💐🍐

Yesterday, our Year 6 pupils celebrated with their Leavers’ Party! 🎉

From hilarious sumo suit challenges and fun games to delicious food and lots of laughter, it was a fantastic evening. Most importantly, it was wonderful to see the children celebrating themselves, their friendships, and all the memories they’ve made during their time at Peartree. 💙

We’re so proud of each and every one of them. 🌟

🍫🧁 Reception have been busy this week writing their very own chocolate cake recipes, inspired by Michael Rosen’s Chocolate Cake! 📖

Today, the children brought their writing to life by baking their own delicious chocolate cakes. The classroom was filled with the wonderful smell of chocolate, and everyone had a fantastic time measuring, mixing, and decorating their creations.

The cake looked (and smelled!) absolutely delicious, and the children were so proud of what they had made. What a brilliant way to combine literacy with hands-on learning! 👩‍🍳✨

🌱 Today in Gardening Club we harvested our very first crop! 🎉

We were so proud to pick the radishes we planted at the start of this half term. You might even spot them on the salad bar at lunchtime tomorrow!

Next week it’s time to harvest our lettuces, and we can’t wait to see what else our garden has to offer! 🌿
