Over the course of this academic year we have a number of Open Day Tours, Discovery Day Sessions and Bright Start Sessions - please see poster for further information.

We would like to extend a massive thank you to the parents and carers who joined us Friday afternoon to share their favourite childhood book with the children as part of our National Year of Reading work. The children had a great time and were engaged and respectful throughout. We hope you enjoyed your treat 😋🍫📖

Summer Disco Postponed.

Due to high temperatures today, the difficult decision has been made to postpone the school disco. The health and wellbeing of the children, volunteers and school staff is our top priority.

We appreciate that many of our children were looking forward to the event, and we are sorry for any disappointment this may cause.

Year 4 have taken part in a fantastic opportunity this week! We participated in the Freshly Prepared Challenge as part of the Lincolnshire Show Schools' Challenge Competition!

Over the past few months, the children have worked incredibly hard on every stage of the project. From planting and growing their own potatoes to creating their unique product, Potato-nuts, they designed the packaging, developed advertising materials, prepared free samples for visitors at the Lincolnshire Show, and confidently presented their product to a panel of judges. We also got to explore the Show itself!

With 74 schools taking part this year, finishing 3rd in our category is a fantastic achievement. We are so proud of the creativity, teamwork, determination and presentation skills shown by every child involved. Well done, Year 4!

We are delighted to share that Welton St Mary’s C of E Primary Academy has achieved the OPAL Platinum Award, the highest accreditation available through the Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) Programme.

Achieving Platinum in such a short period of time, alongside an incredible 100% in our final audit, is a wonderful recognition of the work that has gone into developing our play provision. The result places us amongst the top 1% of schools nationally for play.

This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of our staff team, the enthusiasm and passion of our OPAL Play Team, and the support of our wider school community.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our OPAL journey and, most importantly, for helping to create opportunities for our children to simply be children and enjoy the benefits of high-quality play every day.

We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved together!

This weekend we are celebrating a very special milestone for our school and village: the 200th anniversary of Welton St Mary’s Church of England Primary Academy.

On 21st June 1826, William Williamson laid the foundation stone for Welton Parochial School, the start of 200 years of education in Welton.

To celebrate our 200-year history School Friends have organised a very special Summer Fayre this Saturday, 20th June. We are asking the whole community to come and celebrate this momentous occasion with us. Gates will open from 11:45am. Guests arriving at this time will have a very special welcome to our Summer Fayre, look to the skies!

As well as lots of stalls and traditional games, staff and children have been putting together an exhibition of our 200 years which we are excited to share with you this Saturday in our Small Hall.
