We are really looking forward to welcoming all our pupils and families back to Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School on Thursday 3rd September for the start of a brand-new school year! 🌟

We hope everyone has had a wonderful summer break and that our children are excited to return, see their friends and begin another year of learning, discovery and fun. 📚✨

📢 Autumn Term 2026 School Meals Reminder 🍽️

As we look forward to the new term, we’d like to remind all our families to take a look at the school meals menu.

Our delicious, nutritious meals are freshly prepared each day and offer a variety of tasty options for children to enjoy. 🍎🥪🥕 Whether your child has school meals every day or on selected days, we encourage you to have a look at the menu together and chat about the choices available.

Please remember to let the school know of any dietary requirements or allergies if you haven’t already done so. 💙☺️

Day 12 marks the end of another FANTASTIC Food and Fun programme for 2026! 🎉

Our final day was packed with creativity and fun as the children stepped into the magical world of The Sword in the Stone. They decorated pebbles, designed their own shields and crafted wonderful wizard necklaces during another brilliant Forest School session. A huge thank you to Mrs Ellis for making our Forest School experiences so memorable throughout the programme.

The fun continued with Dave from Activ8Kids, who had everyone developing new ball skills through exciting and engaging activities.

As we bring Food and Fun 2026 to a close, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped make these past 12 days such a success. From our DEDICATED staff and FANTASTIC visitors to our WONDERFUL children and SUPPORTIVE families – thank you for making this year’s programme one to remember.

We hope everyone has enjoyed every moment and we wish all our families a wonderful rest of the Summer Holidays! ☀️💙

As we look ahead to the final day of Food and Fun 2026, we wanted to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to the incredible team who provide Food and Fun at Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School. 💙☺️

Year after year, they generously give up their own time during the summer holidays to provide this wonderful programme for our children and families. Their enthusiasm, care, creativity and commitment have helped create three weeks filled with laughter, new experiences, friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

From exciting sports and creative activities to nutrition sessions and family fun, none of this would have been possible without their dedication. We are incredibly grateful for everything they do for our school community.

To every amazing member of the team (Miss Anna, Miss Emma, Miss Jade, Heather, PC Gayle. PC Sweetman and Verna) who has played a part in making Food and Fun such a success, ably led and organised by the wonderful Mrs Thomas – thank you. You have made a real difference to so many children and families this summer. 🌟

Day 11 of Food and Fun was all about making memories together! 💙☺️

Today we were delighted to welcome our parents, carers and grandparents to join in the fun – and what a fantastic afternoon it was! From smiles and laughter to teamwork and plenty of happy moments, we think it’s safe to say the photos speak for themselves. 📸

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families who came along and helped make today so special. Your support means so much, and together we’ve created memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 10 of Food and Fun! 🌟

Day 10 brought our nutrition sessions to an exciting end with an energetic game of Energy Tag Rugby! 🏉 A huge thank you to Miss Emma for all of her hard work in making every nutrition session fun, engaging and full of learning throughout the programme. 🍎💚

We were also delighted to welcome Becky from One Day Creative Education for the final time this year. The children had an amazing time stomping, stretching and roaring their way through a variety of dinosaur walks and movements before working together in teams to create their very own dinosaurs! 🦖🎨

It’s been another fantastic day full of fun, laughter and teamwork. We hope all of our children get a well-earned rest tonight as we look forward to our final fun-packed day tomorrow! 🎉

Day 9 of Food and Fun! 🍎🥕🏐

Another fantastic day of learning and laughter! We kicked off the morning with an engaging nutrition session, where the children put their senses to the test in a Guess the Fruit and Vegetables Lucky Dip before creating colourful collage pictures exploring healthy and unhealthy fats.

The fun continued with an energetic game of dodgeball, with everyone getting involved and showing great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout.

It’s been another brilliant day of making memories, learning new skills and staying active. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! 🌟💙☺️

Day 8 saw the end of Week 2 of Food and Fun! 🌳⚽

What a fantastic way to finish another brilliant week last week! Our children enjoyed an exciting Forest School session with a Robin Hood theme, building impressive castles and creating beautiful Maid Marian crowns using natural resources they found around them. Their creativity and teamwork were wonderful to see!

The fun continued with Activ8Kids, who got everyone moving with a fantastic game of Football Tag, full of energy, laughter and plenty of smiles.

Another wonderful day of learning, creativity and active fun! We can’t wait to see what this week has in store. 🌿🏰👑⚽
