Do You See What I See?

We would like to say a big thank-you to all who made the 2026 Burcott Summer Evening Sessions, with Nikki Stephens such a success.

Thanks to the Burcott horses who were our equine models, thanks to Janet Francis and Lotty Merry for making delicious home made cakes, thanks to all the Burcott staff who helped with the preparations, in particular Tamara Hudson who groomed and bathed the horses so beautifully, and finally thanks to all the students who attended and participated so enthusiastically.

The Summer Evening Sessions with Nikki Stephens, Licensed Teacher of Légèreté and BHSII, are back!

An opportunity to deepen your understanding of equine movement and sharpen your observational skills in a supportive environment.

Part 1: In the Arena
Observe horses moving without riders. Reflect on what you see and
and make notes, if you wish.
Part 2: In the Lecture Room (with drinks and cake!)
Nikki will share her observations and insights. Compare your findings with Nikki’s and refine your ability to assess and interpret equine movement.
No Price Increase! £20 per session, or £75 for all four sessions.

BHS CPD 6 points a day

Whether you are a rider, instructor, coach, or simply interested in developing your understanding of classical equitation, we would love to welcome you to our school of training for three days of learning and observation.

So pleased with my riders this morning improving their basic steering and obeying the Légèreté principle of “don’t be nice , be clear” so your horse or pony understands what you are asking .
Or rather , in light of the ponies, be black and white about it……..
