If you’ve been following our recent student spotlights, you’ll know that at Wellow House, we look beyond headline statistics and comparing students against one another.

As a non-selective school, we know that behind every single student is a unique journey. For some of our pupils, success meant securing top 8s and 9s. For others, it meant putting in tremendous hard work to achieve grades they once thought were completely out of reach - Including students who joined Wellow with low confidence and unsure if passing their GCSEs was even possible.

While we are thrilled to celebrate a 100% pass rate and 82% of grades at 9–4 for our Class of 2026, what matters most to us is the story behind every grade: the resilience, personal growth, and individuality of each student.

Whatever their starting point, we are here to support each student's personal journey every step of the way, empowering them to achieve their absolute best.

GCSE SPOTLIGHT: HOLLIE

A fantastic Results Day for Hollie, including an impressive Grade 8 in English Literature and Grade 7 in Food & Nutrition.

Hollie will now continue her studies at A Level, building on everything she has achieved at Wellow House.

GCSE SPOTLIGHT: MARIGOLD

A fantastic set of results for Marigold, who is celebrating a great set of results which include three Grade 8s and one Grade 7

Marigold will now take the next exciting step in her education, progressing to Lincoln College to study A Levels.

A brilliant achievement and a wonderful way to finish her time at Wellow House. Congratulations, Marigold!

GCSE SPOTLIGHT: LOLA

The stage is set for Lola's next chapter!

Lola achieved a Grade 6 in Drama, just one mark away from a Grade 7, and will now continue pursuing her passion at drama college.

We are incredibly excited to see where her creativity and determination take her next.

GCSE SPOTLIGHT: ARCHIE

Success in the classroom and beyond for Archie, who combines his studies with competing in international kickboxing.

Archie achieved one Grade 6, five Grade 5s and a Grade 4, reflecting the progress and determination he has shown during his time at Wellow House.

He will now move on to an electrician course and apprenticeship pathway, taking the next step towards his future career.

Congratulations to Amran, who is celebrating an excellent Grade 8 in Mathematics!

Amran will now progress to A Level study, taking another exciting step in his academic journey.

🎓 Celebrating GCSE success at Wellow House School

Today, we are incredibly proud of our GCSE pupils as they celebrate their results and prepare for their next chapter. As a non-selective school, these outcomes reflect the immense dedication, resilience, and hard work shown by our pupils and staff.

⭐ 82% of entries achieved Grades 4–9
⭐ 100% pass rate across all entries
⭐ Every Grade 7–9 achieved was above forecast
⭐ Nine subjects recorded positive value-added scores

There were standout value-added performances across several departments, including Art (+2.2), Drama (+1.7), Business (+1.6), Combined Science (+1.5), and History (+1.5).
Most importantly, behind every grade is an individual story of progress, determination, and ambition.

From A-Levels and drama college to photography courses and electrical apprenticeships, we cannot wait to see what our pupils achieve next.
