A huge thank you to everyone who came to support Stawley Festival yesterday! It was an amazing afternoon enjoyed by so many and with your help we raised just over £2000 to be split between the school and preschool! Truly amazing, thank you all 🎉🎶🥂🍔🍰

This weekend!! Wet weather plans in full swing so that the day can be fully enjoyed by all! Bring a coat but shelters and many, many things will be available undercover just encase!! Come and enjoy the music, food, stalls and entertainment 🎶🍔🌭

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Sometimes it takes a village to run a preschool!

Without our incredibly generous parents and supporters, today (and every day) simply wouldn't be as wonderful as it was for our children. One of our lovely families mowed us a huge clearing in their field and put up a marquee so that we didn't have to close for polling day today and the lovely ladies at Stawley shop let me refill our water bottles and wipe them out of ice poles. Some locals came to visit and one brought a HUGE cuddly dog for the festival on Sunday. Some elderly voters said how much they enjoyed a lovely chat with the children as we walked them back for pick up at the end of the day.

We really are very lucky that you help us make the magic happen. Thank you ❤️

We run two settings to offer up to 30 hours a week. On Mondays and Tuesdays we are at Sampford Arundel School, just a few minutes drive from Wellington (just past the Beambridge) and Wednesday to Friday we are in Appley Pavilion, surrounded by the most beautiful countryside, just 10 minutes from Wellington and close to Stawley Primary School.

Run by a qualified teacher, with specialist Early Years training and many years teaching experience across the primary age range, we offer high-quality early education and care based on child-led play.

We pride ourselves on being totally free-flow, whatever the weather (the staff even have all-in-one waterproofs!), so whether your child likes to be indoors or out, quietly focussed or a whirlwind of energy, they will find what they need with us.

We had an amazing day at last week. We tasted honey, held bees, played in the soft play, explored the gardens and made a candle. I think only two children were awake by the time we arrived back at preschool!

Come and enjoy an evening out with tea cooked for you. The fundraising team will be supporting the pop inn pub on Friday 3rd May at Holcombe Rogus Village Hall. All profits will go to the preschool. All adults and children welcome. So lucky to have Exe Valley Pizza Co. Joining for the evening… if you haven’t tasted before they are so worth it! Come and along for a drink and a catch up with friends while supporting a worthy cause!

Thank you everyone who joins us on Saturday! We raised just over £225 which is such a huge help for the preschool to use towards amazing resources and experiences for the children! Keep your eyes peeled… next fundraiser is coming up shortly for both adults and children to enjoy 🎉

Stawley Festival is back for its fourth year! This year will be bigger and better than ever with the introduction of an open mic section as well as established local acts.

We'd love to expand our range of traders in our 'shopping village'
this year too, so please get in touch if you'd like more info. The event is from 2-5pm on Sunday 7th July at Appley Pavilion, TA21 0HH and the cost of a stall is £15.

We are NOT looking for any of the following for this event:

Today we are closed to say goodbye and celebrate Harper's life.

Harper, we will remember you as the sassy, head-strong preschooler we first met. The times you fell asleep, hid behind the chair, glared at us from under your fringe, laughed, giggled, wore the red dress and got covered in dirt. You are still (and probably always will be) the only child we've ever worked with who has taken themselves for a walk one evening, resulting in a full scale police search! Your sense of adventure and mischief were never far from the surface when you were little and as we watched you grow, that twinkle never left your eyes.

The world is a brighter place for having had you in it, even for a little while. Sleep tight, Harper.
