Our Year 7 and 8 futsal team were in action on Monday against Court Fields in a fantastic fixture.
The attitude, effort and team spirit shown by everyone was excellent, with every player representing Wellington brilliantly.
The match was also a great example of the growing strength of football and futsal here at Wellington.
Mr Farr would like to say a huge thank you to all of the players for their commitment, and to the parents for their continued support from the sidelines.

Sport is one of Wellington’s many passions and we believe in starting early.
Yesterday, Year 2 had their first match day experience against Kings at home organised by Head of Prep Sport, Mr Baker.
Both teams demonstrated exemplary levels of effort, team work and incredible attitude to sport.
They also enjoyed their first match tea…
Great to host you Kings, we look forward to many matches in the years ahead.

After years of building a personal library packed with everything from children's classics to teen favourites, Bea decided it was time to clear some shelf space, and do a bit of good at the same time.
This break and lunch time, Bea has been raising money for our school charities while helping other pupils pick up a bargain and discover a new favourite.
With so many keen readers around school and an incredible library helping to inspire them, the books have quickly found new homes.

We had a fantastic evening last night celebrating the huge variety of sport at Wellington, as students from Years 7 to 10 were recognised for their achievements across the year.
Awards were presented in each year group for both boys and girls, as well as special recognition for outstanding contribution to sport overall.
The evening finished with street food in the dining hall and plenty of time to catch up and celebrate together.
Well done to everyone involved and a huge thank you to the sports department for a wonderful evening.

The Year 8 Enquiry Week came to a close with a trip to Lyme Regis, linking geography and art.
During the day, we carried out a range of fieldwork tasks to better understand the coastal processes acting upon the Jurassic Coast, weighing up the costs and benefits of the coastal management scheme.
With the Art Department, the students drew inspiration from 'The British Landscape,' with a drawing workshop held on the Cob and sand and stone sculptures used to create geometric shapes.
Linking subjects reflects Wellington School’s vision because it helps students make meaningful connections in their learning, develop transferable skills, and become independent, adaptable learners who are already creating their futures.
