🦸♀️Superhero Day for all the children🦸♂️ The children have loved learning about the everyday heroes in our lives and exploring all the ways we can be ‘super’ through kindness, teamwork and helping others. We look forward to welcoming more 'everyday' heroes through the rest of the school year, including an interesting talk from a real life Fire Marshall and a costal life guard 👩🚒 🛟

As part of Orchid’s science learning this term, they explored different signs of Spring. The children were able to identify lots of different flowers and found lots of seeds to help with their growing work back at school. 🌸🌼🌱

To mark the beginning of Lent, Reverend Helene visited our school to lead this month’s Roots and Fruits session.
The children took part in a reflective activity using decorated stones, which they used as a way to talk with God and seek guidance. Reverend Helene also led a thoughtful discussion about Lent, helping the children explore the different ways people observe Lent today.
It was a calm, reflective session that supported the children’s spiritual development and deepened their understanding of this important time in the Christian calendar.

KS2 children at Langford Budville took part in the SASP run Motiv8 Festival, where all the activities were inspired by popular video games such as Mario Kart, Worms, and Crossy Road. They spent the festival being active, laughing together, and throwing themselves into every challenge. The children represented the school brilliantly, working as a team and enjoying friendly competition with pupils from other schools. 🤾♀️

KS2 children had a wonderful day stepping back into World War 2 and experiencing life as an evacuee. During the day, the children made gas mask boxes and evacuation labels, created some drama about leaving their families, tasted some wartime rationed cookery, wrote letters in role to their families back and home and created some powerful artwork inspired by The Blitz. They even learned how to dance The Lambeth Walk! A great time was had by them all and it was wonderful to see their learning brought to life.

Children from years 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed a Basketball event at Kingsmead, led by Huish Tigers. The children enjoyed some fun, energetic drills and then played in some friendly match style games. The children worked well together, learned some new skills and made some new friends with other local schools. ⛹️♀️
