Today, our Year 6 pupils marked the end of their primary school journey with one of Langford Budville’s most treasured traditions – climbing the tower of St Peter’s Church.
Accompanied by Reverend Helene Stainer, the children made their way to the top of the historic church tower, where they were rewarded with breathtaking views across the local countryside. It was a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect on their time at Langford Budville CE Primary School, and celebrate the friendships, achievements and memories they have made along the way.
Looking out across the village and beyond, pupils spent time thinking about how far they have come and looking ahead to the exciting opportunities, new experiences and challenges that await them as they begin the next chapter of their education at secondary school.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and wish them every success for the future. May they leave with confidence, cherish the memories they have made, and continue to shine wherever their journey takes them.

We are delighted to announce that we, Langford Budville CoE Primary School, has achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

We were delighted to welcome an inspiring lifeguard from Sidmouth Lifeboats to Langford Budville, which felt especially important given the recent hot weather. The children learned valuable water safety skills and gained a real understanding of how lifeguards keep people safe.
The session was engaging and thought-provoking, with children asking insightful questions and showing great curiosity about staying safe near water. They later reflected on their learning by writing heartfelt thank you messages, showing just how much they had taken from this memorable experience.🚣‍♂️🏄‍♀️🏊

🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏆We were incredibly proud to see our recent Sports Day such a resounding success. The children demonstrated wonderful camaraderie throughout the day, showing respect for one another, excellent teamwork and, above all, real resilience in every activity they undertook.
It was also fantastic to see the event so well attended by families and friends from across our school community.
A huge well done to everyone involved – it truly was a celebration of our values in action and a memorable success for the whole school. 🏃‍➡️🏆

🦸‍♀️Superhero Day for all the children🦸‍♂️ The children have loved learning about the everyday heroes in our lives and exploring all the ways we can be ‘super’ through kindness, teamwork and helping others. We look forward to welcoming more 'everyday' heroes through the rest of the school year, including an interesting talk from a real life Fire Marshall and a costal life guard 👩‍🚒 🛟
