The pot of gold is in Willows and Overside (Darks) today
The Head and his wife welcomed three former First XV captains and partners for Sunday lunch this past weekend. There was much to discuss around the World Cup, and the very tense semi-final between England and South Africa the night before.
All three Old Wellingtonians are very much involved with the School. Paul Farmer (left, Willows 83) is a member of the Development Board, Rob Palfrey (Centre, Richards 92) is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors and Nigel Renyard (right, Willows 88) is Deputy Head (Co-Curricular).

Congratulations to Joseph (Year 9) who has just returned to school following a year on the West End stage! Joe’s first six months were spent as Michael Banks in Mary Poppins and the last six months have been in Matilda the Musical as Bruce Bogtrotter! We are all so proud of Wellington’s very own west end superstar!🌟Well done Joseph.
Yesterday we invited former School Captains back to School for the unveiling of the School Captains boards. It was lovely to see so many Captains from across the eras. Hugh Salmon (Lights '51) was our oldest visitor and Will Mitchell (Richards '16) was our youngest. It was fabulous to hear the many memories of School.
The Headmaster recently attended a dinner in London marking the 20th anniversary of England winning the rugby world cup. Paul Farmer (Willows, '82) - pictured with Alistair Jackson (Darks, '82) and Steve Darrington (Oak, '82) – very generously sponsored a table for the celebratory event.
All 3 were in the '77-'78 U14 rugby team (pictured), the friendships formed 45 years ago have stood the test of time.
Amelia Crocombe (Fox's '22) has committed to Southern New Hampshire University, playing field hockey for PenMen and studying Psychology. She has already scored in her team's win against Saint Michael's.
