What a fabulous morning we had today with Wrekin Prep for Sports Day! All the children had a fantastic time and joined in with all of the races. It was lovely to see such enthusiasm, teamwork, and smiles throughout the morning. Well done to everyone who took part!"

🌼 Daisies had a fabulous time at Wellington Library for the Bounce and Rhyme Time session today! The children loved joining in with some of our favourite nursery rhymes including *Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes*, *If You’re Happy and You Know It* and *Miss Polly Had a Dolly*. 📚

We also enjoyed spending some time exploring lots of lovely new story books together. 😊

🌟 What an amazing week Pre School have had! 🌟

We had a fantastic bake sale 🍰 A huge thank you to all the parents who sponsored, baked at home, or bought treats from the shop with their children. The bake sale was a big hit with everyone at nursery, and the children loved helping Faiza sell all the yummy cakes!

To finish off the term, the children joined in with Wrekin Prep’s Lower School Summer Parade ⚽🏆 Everyone loved dressing up in their football kits, and we even had our very own World Cup trophy!

Last week, a group of preschool children enjoyed a fun-filled morning creating their own potions. The excitement of adding different coloured waters to their cups made for a thrilling experience. They concocted potions that could transform us into frogs, princesses, witches, and even "beer" potions! Once we had finished, we combined all of our potions into a large bowl, resulting in an intriguing sight—when the light shone on the water, it turned the feathers into a spectrum of rainbow colours!

Last week, the Rising 3’s had a wonderful time exploring what they would like to be when they grow up! We heard lots of exciting ideas, including firefighters, nurses, doctors, footballers, and even princesses. The children enjoyed talking about their dream jobs and practiced their writing skills by sharing their ideas on paper. They also had great fun roleplaying some of their chosen careers, using their imaginations and working together beautifully throughout the week!

The toddlers have had a roarsome week immersing themselves in our exciting dinosaur theme! We enjoyed lively discussions about different dinosaurs and their eggs, which inspired the children to create some of their very own.

The children explored a dinosaur swamp tuff tray, using their senses to investigate a variety of natural materials. Through expressive arts and design, they worked together to create Tony the Dinosaur—a project they were incredibly proud of!

We also saw fantastic use of early maths skills, as the children matched numbered pegs to the correct dinosaur numbers. This activity was a big hit, with everyone eager to join in and show their understanding.

It has truly been a fun-filled week of dinosaur adventures!

🌍✨ Our little Eco Warriors have been busy making a big difference!
This week, they have been hard at work collecting paper and cardboard from around the nursery and taking it to the recycling bins. They’ve also been helping care for our plants and proudly teaching their friends why it’s so important to look after our planet. 🌱💚

We’re so proud of their enthusiasm and love for the Earth! 🌎♻️

Yesterday the children enjoyed a lovely trip into Wellington, where they set out to buy all the ingredients needed for baking cookies 🍪

They had a wonderful time exploring the shops, choosing their ingredients, and learning about what goes into making their favourite treats. During our walk, we also took the opportunity to talk about and practise road safety, helping the children learn how to stay safe while out in the community.

After their shopping adventure, everyone sat down together in a cosy café to enjoy a well-earned milkshake 🥤 The children had a lovely time, and it was a fantastic outing filled with independence, teamwork, and plenty of smiles.

We had fun making our cookies in the afternoon and taking the taste treat home!.
