Rockets Pre School

This morning it was a bit chilly out so we made ourselves a bonfire! We collected sticks to make our bonfire, then the ladies surprised us with marshmallows to ‘toast’! 🚀

This morning we were talking about whether we are going to see any fireworks at the weekend, so we made firework toast for our snack! We painted our slices of bread, then toasted them and we enjoyed eating our masterpieces at snack time! 🎇🎆

Rockets had lots of fun making our own bread rolls today! The children helped weigh, measure, mix and knead the dough. We then let it rise and made our own roll each. The children really enjoyed making them. We also made a loaf which the children will enjoy eating for snack tomorrow 😋

This afternoon, we have made soup! The children did a good job of cutting up the potatoes and carrots safely. They then enjoyed eating it for snack! All children tried it and a couple wanted seconds! Yum yum 😋🚀

Earlier in the year, we planted potatoes and carrots, well today we decided to dig them up. The children were very excited to see how many potatoes we had managed to grow! Watch this space to see what we make with them! 🚀

The ladies have been in Rockets today getting ready for the new school year. We are looking forward to seeing all our old children and also meeting our new children for their first day!

When the gates are opened in the morning, please wait at the Rockets gate and the ladies will be out to greet you when the bell rings.

As it’s due to be a hot week, please make sure your child has suncream applied and that they bring a named hat.

All of the ladies at Rockets would like to say a big THANK YOU to you all for our lovely cards, gifts and kind words we have received this week. We have had a lovely year with your children and watching them grow.

We would also like to say a sad goodbye to all of the children leaving to go to school. We will miss them all and we will see most of them over the fence when they start at Badger Class!

Wow what a lovely treat the ladies had for lunch today! One of our parents work at Villa Verde Italian Restaurant and they very kindly treated the ladies to a pizza each and even bought some in for the children to share too! How kind, thank you so much to Villa Verde! 🚀

Rocky’s Adventures 2023!

Rocky has now visited all of our school starters houses and will soon be back at Rockets for a long rest! He has had a super time with all of the children and we have loved reading your stories and looking at your photos.

Thank you all for looking after Rocky so well! He can’t wait to start visiting your houses again next year.

Rockets had a super end of year trip to Flip Out yesterday! We all had a brilliant time and didn’t want to leave!

Wow what a busy day we have had at Rockets today! This morning, we had Helen from the Life Bus visit us to teach us all about our bodies and how to keep ourselves healthy. We then had Christmas dinner, and we have spent the afternoon making our backdrop for our nativity next week! 🚀

We enjoyed making soup with our potatoes this morning.

We helped clean, peel and chop the potatoes, before adding the other ingredients and cooking it. We then enjoyed trying the soup for snack time. Yummy! 🚀

This afternoon we also enjoyed picking the apples off our apple tree! We will be enjoying these at snack time, yum yum 🚀

This afternoon, we decided to dig the potatoes we planted earlier in the year. We all had a go at digging the soil - look how many we found! 🚀
