Nancy has been spending an hour with my daughter Grace, each week for the last few months helping her with her English GCSE.
The change in my daughter is phenomenal. Her confidence has grown, not just in English, but all her subjects. Even her teachers at school have noticed a huge difference in her attitude and focus in lessons.

It is a wonderful time of year. Results in exams are not everything!When the student who has not been in school for two years gains a 4 in her Mock GCSE Maths, when another student who hasn't been in school for even longer, actually turns up to sit three out of three exams, despite acute anxiety at the thought of even stepping on to the premises. And lastly, the student who has discovered a delight in studying English which has given her confidence in all other areas. Those are the things that warm my heart and mean the world. Well done girls. I am SO proud of you!

After 32 years teaching in Primary and Secondary education,I have now been teaching on the National Tutoring Programme since March of this year. It has highlighted to me the anxieties young people are facing about the 'lost ground' they have undergone over the Covid years. As an experienced, successful teacher I am here to provide help and support in developing both specialist subjects and self-confidence with young people aged 5 - 16.
