At The Melody Nest, children can begin their musical journey from age three with playful, engaging classes designed around how young children learn best.

🐣 PRE-NOTES For Ages 3–4
An exciting introduction to piano through singing, movement, rhythm, listening, patterns and musical play.

🎵 LITTLE KEYNOTES For Ages 4–6
Creative, topic-based piano lessons featuring games, songs, improvisation, musical elements and regular opportunities to perform.

📖 STORYTELLERS For Ages 6–8
Children develop their piano skills through imaginative musical stories—beginning this term with Goldilocks and the Three Bears!

Day 3… and they escaped! 🔐🎶

We kicked off the day with some energetic rhythm drumming before consolidating everything we’d learnt this week about intervals and chords. The campers worked brilliantly together, rehearsing their final group performance, which we recorded this afternoon. We can’t wait to mix it and send it out so everyone has a lasting memory of what they’ve achieved this week. 🎵

Of course, there was one final challenge to complete… After working together to solve the clues, they cracked the last code, unlocked the final padlock and claimed the key to escape The Melody Nest Summer Camp! 🗝️🎉

Watching their confidence grow, friendships develop and teamwork flourish over these three days has been such a privilege. We couldn’t be prouder of every single camper. 💜💛

Who knows what adventure we’ll create next…? 🎸🥁🎹

Summer Camp Escape Room Day 2!

Day 2 has been such a special day at our Escape Room Summer Camp! 🎶🔐

Today we’ve really seen the team come together. New friendships have formed, personalities have begun to shine, and it’s been wonderful watching each camper grow in confidence. The talent on display has been incredible, but even more encouraging has been seeing everyone embrace every challenge we’ve thrown at them.

Today’s musical mission was all about chords! We explored every chord in the C major scale and discovered how they work together to build and play songs. 🎹🎸

Of course, it wouldn’t be an escape room without plenty of puzzles! The campers cracked musical codes, solved the clues, and successfully unlocked today’s basket to discover some well-earned treats inside. 🍬🔑

One more day to go… what will tomorrow bring? 👀✨

What an incredible first day of our 🎸🔑 Escape Room Summer Camp! 🎉

This year we gave our young musicians the choice of learning piano or guitar, and it has been amazing to see everyone throw themselves into the challenge. From complete beginners to those building on existing skills, the progress made in just one day has been so encouraging.

One of the highlights was seeing everyone play together as a team. For some, making music with others was a brand new experience, and they embraced it brilliantly. 💜

But the very best part? Watching new friendships form throughout the day. Seeing children encourage one another, laugh together and celebrate each other’s successes is exactly what The Melody Nest is all about.

We’re so proud of every one of our campers and can’t wait to see what adventures and musical mysteries await on Day 2! 🎶🗝️

What happens when you combine music, hidden clues, creative challenges and an escape room? 🔐🎶

At our Musical Escape Room Summer Camp, children won’t simply sit and practise an instrument. They’ll become a team of musical adventurers!

On Day 1, they’ll enter the Interval Room, make hanging musical mobiles and build their own 3D Musical City. But before they leave, they’ll discover a mysterious message…

“The city has been built, but it has no harmony.”

They’ll need to return on Day 2 to learn the chords that will bring their city to life, before facing the Final Countdown on Day 3!

Our three day Musical Escape Room Summer Camp is almost completely full!

From 4th–6th August, our young musical adventurers will:

🎵 Crack musical codes
🏙️ Build a colourful 3D Musical City
🥁 Solve challenges using Boomwhackers
🎸 Play ukuleles
🔎 Hunt for hidden clues
🔑 Unlock the Interval and Chord Rooms
⏳ Complete the Final Countdown!

The camp runs from 10am–3pm and is designed for children aged 8–11. No previous musical experience is needed, just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to join the adventure!

🎵 Every lesson at The Melody Nest is as unique as the student sitting in front of us. 💛

Today, a couple of cancellations meant one of our group piano students unexpectedly had a lesson all to themselves. So, rather than sticking to the original plan, we took the opportunity to end the school year with something a little different…

One of the things we love most about teaching is having the flexibility to adapt. Whether it’s following a student’s interests, working towards grades, or simply learning for the joy of making music, every lesson is tailored to help each child thrive.

It’s not about ticking boxes—it’s about inspiring a lifelong love of music. 🎶
