It's an exciting time for the Lee household as we are moving into our new home shortly! Please bear with me over the next two weeks, I may take longer to reply to emails etc. My house currently looks like this EVERYWHERE 🫠

Very emotional day today; we had the leaver assembly for our George. We have been incredibly lucky that George's school has been amazing all the way through. He has been supported and encouraged in a school where he feels valued and seen.

However...

Not all children are as lucky. I have seen first hand how important schemes such as EOTAS are for families. Children who have been let down by the education system because they don't fit neatly inside of it. Parents who sacrifice so much to ensure their children are getting an education that they deserve. EOTAS packages are already like golddust.

The government has recently launched a consultation on proposals to 'strengthen' arrangements for children and young people through EOTAS. From what I have read it will mean that there will be no appeal process except through EHCPs. This is scary.
I urge everyone to have your say here:

That's a wrap! I have had a fantastic day meeting lots of tutors and listening to some fantastic speakers. Certainly leaving with a lot of ideas and insights. Once again, thank you to my amazing families for shuffling things about so that I could attend.
