Very emotional day today; we had the leaver assembly for our George. We have been incredibly lucky that George's school has been amazing all the way through. He has been supported and encouraged in a school where he feels valued and seen.

However...

Not all children are as lucky. I have seen first hand how important schemes such as EOTAS are for families. Children who have been let down by the education system because they don't fit neatly inside of it. Parents who sacrifice so much to ensure their children are getting an education that they deserve. EOTAS packages are already like golddust.

The government has recently launched a consultation on proposals to 'strengthen' arrangements for children and young people through EOTAS. From what I have read it will mean that there will be no appeal process except through EHCPs. This is scary.

Heatwave! It is incredibly hot (as I'm sure you know!) so a little update for those of you with lessons coming up. Sessions will be going ahead as usual as long as you feel it will work for your child. If your child will struggle to focus in this heat then I am more than happy to move sessions online/ do a pre-recorded session for you instead.
