We did it... ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป! ๐ฟ
We're thrilled to share that we've been awarded the ๐๐ฐ๐ผ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ด (with Distinction) for another year!
From honey flapjacks on World Bee Day to veggie pizzas celebrating plant-based eating, our pupils have thrown themselves into eco-friendly learning with enthusiasm. Add in our growing horticulture curriculum and school allotment, and it's fair to say our young people are learning to care for the planet in the most hands-on, brilliant way possible.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, pupils, staff, and supporters alike. We couldn't be prouder. ๐

Over the past few weeks, KS2 students have been learning about how to care for and protect our world. This project was inspired by our English lesson focus, โ10 Things I Can Do to Help Our World.โ Through this theme, the children explored practical ways they can make a positive difference in their everyday lives.
As part of our ongoing Eco-Project and commitment to Eco-School values, the children participated in a range of hands-on and real-life learning experiences. They designed and made bird feeders, planted seeds, and investigated ways to recycle and reuse materials. Using creativity and problem-solving skills, pupils remodelled cardboard boxes into toys and new items, demonstrating how waste materials can be repurposed effectively.
Students also took part in litter picking at a local park, reinforcing the importance of caring for our community spaces. In addition, they explored ways to reduce energy and water consumption, such as switching off lights when not in use, turning off taps properly, and using less water while brushing their teeth.
To deepen the understanding of their conservation, we visited a local woodland farm where people learned about protecting natural habitats, caring for wildlife and the importance of sustainable practices. This real life experience helped them to see how environmental responsibility connects to the wider world.
To further promote environmental awareness, the children created a recycling song and encouraged others to take active steps in caring for our world. Activities were delivered through role-play, template design, practical investigations, and real-life experiences, allowing pupils to deepen their understanding through meaningful engagement.
We are extremely proud of how our KS2 students have embraced our Eco-School values and continue to promote our ongoing eco-project, demonstrating responsibility, leadership, and commitment to protecting the environment both in school and beyond.

As Part of our Dreams and Goals unit in PSHE our KS4 students had a fantastic visit to London South East Colleges (Bromley College) this week!
They enjoyed a guided tour of the campus and explored a range of courses linked to their individual interests and future career goals. Students asked great questions and gained valuable insight into post-16 pathways and college life.
A brilliant opportunity to help them plan their next steps with confidence!
