We are devastated to hear of the passing of Max Hall today. Max was one of our founding students and had a smile that could light up any room. Our thoughts are with Max's family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. We will be there to support students in September and to honour Max's legacy. It is times like these when communities come together; the WVA Family will never forget Max ❤️

Year 9 Paris Trip.
We are now over the Dartford crossing.
Estimated time of arrival at Weldon has now improved to 19.50

As students have missed out on the end of year celebration assembly we have recreated the assembly on both buses. It was great to read out so many names of students who had been recognised by staff for excellent behaviour, attendance, and commitment in lessons.

UPDATE: no traffic around Cambridge. ETA now 7.30. All students have been told to message parents. See you soon!

Year 9 Paris Trip update.
Dreams of an earlier ferry have now gone. Coach 2 has cleared immigration, Coach 1 is still queueing and has been for 2 hours. Will update when both coaches are on the ferry.

UPDATE: both coaches have now made it through immigration.

UPDATE: all on the ferry. Ferry was delayed by 20minutes (which helped coach 1 make it!)

UPDATE: we're now back in the UK. ETA unchanged. We will update again when we get through the Dartford crossing.

Well done to year 9 for their efforts today as they worked towards their environment PLEDGEs. Thanks to Elli from Another Way for coming along to share her expertise. It was great to see students thinking about biodiversity, climate action and nature based solutions.

Paris trip has made it to Disney 🥳🥳🥳

Year 9 Paris Trip day 2 done.
All the students did us proud today, loads of the Paris landmarks ticked off, 30,000 steps and about 18km walked.
Back at the Hostel in time for the England game! Disney tomorrow 🇫🇷

We've been super impressed with year 7 during their PLEDGES Environment Day. They've been learning why bees are so important, designing and pitching wild garden ideas and making bee hotels. #
