The WOA twelve days of Christmas begins on Thursday 1st December! There are 10 lots of £30 Morrison’s vouchers and an Amazon Gadget hamper to be won!
All you have to do is attend every day for the last 12 days of term!
The Amazon hamper includes an Alexa Show, Fire Tablet, Fire TV stick, Bluetooth speaker and some sweet treats!
Year 11 - don’t forget there are online revision sessions for English Lit and Science this morning.
Join in online from 9.45 am.

Apologies - Saturday School will NOT be abe to run tomorrow as planned for English and Science due to site issues.

A reminder to all Parents and carers that the school will be closed tomorrow, Friday 25th November, for a staff training day.
Students will return to school on Monday 28th November. They must be in school, in full uniform, for 8.45am.

You have the opportunity to attend a performance of Beauty and the Beast at the Old Rep Theatre in Birmingham on Thursday 8th December.
Spaces are limited so if you wish to go please collect a letter from the Performing Arts office from Monday 28th November, and return it to school ASAP.

On Monday afternoon our award winners will get chance to view England’s first match, along with goodies, on our big screens. Be in on Monday to find out if you are a winner!!
We will also make sure that all students have the opportunity to see the match in school, or alternative provision will be made for this that don’t want to see the game.
To celebrate the end of anti bullying week we were treated to a purple flash mob!

Our Kindness Champion Training is in full swing as we launch our Kindness Is Power campaign at the start of Anti Bullying week.
Well done to everyone wearing their odd socks to show their support !

Tomorrow sees the start of Anti-Bullying Week and students can wear odd socks alongside their school uniform to show their support.
We are also launching our year-long ‘Kindness is Power’ campaign across the whole academy.

This morning the academy took part in a Ceremony of Remembrance and observed the two minutes silence.
Well done to all of our Royal Marine Cadets and Students leaders who took part in the ceremony and to our families and supporters that can to watch.

Thank you to parents that have been in touch regarding uniform. A reminder that our uniform expectations, that were shared in our pastoral update last half term, will be in place from tomorrow.
All students will be expected to wear full academy uniform or face sanctions, including waiting until the end of the lunch queue if not in uniform.
There will also be serious sanctions for students who verbally abuse staff. This will not be tolerated.

The Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) has released a new animation as part of their Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport campaign. The new campaign aims to equip parents and carers with the knowledge and confidence to raise any safeguarding concerns at their child’s sports club.

A reminder that it is year 11 Raising Achievement evening this Wednesday (12th October) from 4:30pm-6:30pm at WOA.
Parents and students are invited to meet the raising achievement team and representatives from colleges, apprenticeship programs and Connexions who you can speak to during the evening.
