Year 3 have been exploding with creativity this week as they made their very own volcano models as part of their E3L topic 🌋✨
From shaping mountains to painting fiery lava flows 🎨🔥, they’ve shown amazing enthusiasm and teamwork.
We can’t wait to see their volcanoes erupt into action in the classroom soon! 🌈🧪

🔥🌾 Year 4 Viking Bread Making in the Forest! 🌾🔥

Year 4 stepped back in time today as part of their E3L topic. The children headed into the forest to make and cook their own Viking bread over the fire — just like real Viking settlers would have done.

They mixed, shaped, and cooked their dough outdoors, learning how Vikings used simple ingredients and clever techniques to survive. The forest setting made it feel even more authentic, and the smell of warm bread definitely helped too.

Such a brilliant hands-on experience, and the children loved every moment of it.

🌿 Litter Pick Workshop! 🌿

This week we got creative and a little bit muddy — in the best way. We made our own seed bombs using clay and wildflower seeds, shaped them into mini sculptures, and then chose a spot outside to leave them so they can grow and support bees and other local wildlife.

A small action, but one that helps our green spaces thrive. 🌼🐝 Feeling proud of what we made together.

Our Year 4 children have had a brilliant time diving into the world of the Anglo‑Saxons and Vikings this week at Bishopswood. From exploring daily life in the settlements to discovering how Viking raids shaped Britain, the class has been full of curiosity and great questions. We’re so proud of how engaged they’ve been in bringing history to life.
