MONDAY 23RD DECEMBER 2024-FRIDAY 3RD JANUARY 2025

This applies to term time only children and children who reduce days.

Children can return to nursery from week commencing 6th January 2025.

‼️CHRISTMAS CLOSURE‼️

Nursery will close at 4pm on Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24th December 2024 and will re-open normal operating hours on Thursday 2nd January 2025.

Nursery will be closed from Wednesday 25th December 2024 to Wednesday 1st January 2025.

Polite reminder for Parents

If you receive 15 hours or 30 hours funding for working parents please revalidate your codes before 31st December 2024 to be able to receive your funding for next term.

If you have not yet applied for the funding but think you may be eligible as of next term then please apply before 31st December 2024.

For any parents doing a new application for funded hours then please forward us your proof if you are eligible.

We do not need to see proof of previous funding codes. Only provide proof of your funding should you have received a new code upon revalidation.

If you are currently in receipt of ELT funding or NEF then no action is required.

Halloween 2024 👻🎃

Our staff and children enjoyed taking part in various activities and dressing up.

Our Alices Angels children have enjoyed being creative using various arts and crafts materials to make their Poppy fields for Remembrance Day.

Happy Diwali 🎆🎇

The staff and children enjoyed dressing up in colourful clothes and taking part in various activities. We had a fun filled Diwali Tea party with lots of delicious food.

The staff and children wore pink clothing and participated in pink activities throughout the day.

THIS APPLIES TO TERM TIME ONLY CHILDREN AND CHILDREN WHO REDUCE DAYS.

CHILDREN CAN RETURN TO NURSERY FROM WEEK COMMENCING 4TH NOVEMBER 2024.

Today our Alice’s Angels children enjoyed participating in a physical activity to improve their gross motor skills and co-ordination. The children had the challenge of walking through the cobwebs and avoiding the spiders. The children had lots of fun during this activity.

Our Alices Angels children have enjoyed our colourful rice tea party. They used spoons and cups to show fine motor control and the children talked about the differences in quantity.

🎉 If your child is due to start primary school or secondary school next September, you can now apply for a school place.

❗ There is no rush, as we don’t give places on a first come, first served basis, so please take your time to ensure you make the best choices for your child.

👉 The closing date for secondary school applications is 31 October 2024 and you will find out what place your child has been given on 1 March 2025.

👉 The closing date for primary school applications (and for applications if your child is due to transfer to a new junior school for Year 3) is 15 January 2025. You’ll find out about your child’s reception or junior school place on 16 April 2025.

Some of our activities the children have enjoyed over the last few days, finding autumn leaves, construction, sensory and looking at improving our fine motor skills and communication.

Alices Angels and Clever Cats staff and children enjoyed their trip to our local park.

The children enjoyed exploring the world around them and the natural materials within the environment.

“We saw lots of transport and animals on our way to the park”

The children enjoyed using their gross motor skills whilst at the park having fun on all the different equipment.

Our Queens Cuties children had fun on our trip to the local supermarket Morrisons to choose some fruit to buy for our activity.
On the way to the shop we had a look at all the buses at the bus station. The children enjoyed exploring their surroundings outside of the nursery.
The children explored the new tastes and textures of different fruits when they arrived back at nursery.

Reminder to Parents and Carers

Nursery will be closed on Monday 26th August 2024 for Bank Holiday.

Nursery will re-open normal hours on Tuesday 27th August 2024.

The children had fun taking part in the Olympic celebrations by having a little fun day and painting and colouring in pictures for the display.
