We are looking for all budding artists to help us create a new ‘Forest School’ logo using any natural resources.
We are offering a FREE forest school session to the winner (for a future date when the pandemic is over!)
You do not need to attend the nursery to enter - we are welcoming entries from everyone!

Following on from the children's interest in Dinosaurs this week, In Forest School the children made a Dinosaur Swamp! They worked as a team collecting natural resources and built their creation! The wind and rain did not put us off..it made the muddiness more enjoyable!

Today Mighty Marbles and Mini Pebbles have been helping dig the vegetable patch and herb garden ready to re plant next week. They used gardening gloves and little spades to clear the area while working brilliantly as a team. They discovered worms, insects and even pulled out some tiny carrots. Next week we will be planting potatoes, carrots and courgettes which Chef Lisa will then use in the kitchen.

Today in Forest School Mighty marbles have been creating a Dinosaur Swamp. They began the morning by collecting wooden disks from the outdoor area which they then painted to make a design of their choice. Once dry, the wooden pallets will be used to create a Dinosaur small world area within the outdoor classroom. Next we headed outdoors where the children began with a game of "can you find the....?" They correctly collected and identified natural resources which were used to create their own swamps. It was extremely wet and messy but the children had a wonderful time.
