It was a pleasure to work with you yesterday on this. We’re so proud of our pupils and how they are genuinely . Looking forward to hearing how their voices come to life. Please keep us posted!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of visiting Wayland Academy with the Flourish team and spoke with some truly incredible young people!

We wanted to hear directly from them about what they love about their community, what they’d like to see more of, what worries them, and what they think could make Watton an even better place to live, work and grow up.

And wow, did they have ideas!

The young people were so open, honest and enthusiastic about sharing their thoughts, it was brilliant to hear just how much they care about their community and its future.

It’s so important that young people feel heard and have a say in shaping the place they call home. They’re a huge part of Watton’s future, and their voices deserve to be part of the conversation.

A massive thank you to everyone at Wayland Academy and to all the young people who took part, you have certainly given us lots to think about, and we’re excited to see what we can do together!

Stay tuned! We’ll be sharing some of the young people’s ideas with you soon. And who knows, there might be something that you, your business or your organisation could help make happen! Something as simple as, offering support, sharing skills, providing a space or helping bring an idea to life, there could be a way for you to get involved.

Congratulations!

Following a competitive selection process, the OC was pleased to promote three cadets to the rank of Sergeant last night. This is a testament to their hard work, dedication and leadership skills. As senior members of the Squadron, they will support the staff team to deliver the Air Cadet experience to our other cadets both on our parade nights and at external events.

We’re currently in Tesco Watton. When you pay a visit, make sure you pick up a blue coin and put it in the box for Wayland Academy. We’re gathering funding to continue the development and regeneration of our garden area. We’re working with the Papillon Project to make this a great area for pupils to enjoy and allow them to improve the school environment too!
