Hello again! 😁

Bringing some updates your way as promised!
Sadly paperwork still hasn't been completed so next week's session cannot go ahead 😪 hopefully this will be resolved ASAP.

We are a small group of 3 busy mummas like everyone else, work and family commitments can get in the way of everyone bring able to attend each week. This means leaving sometimes only 1 member able to set up, run the group and tidy up which isn't really fair on the individual as we'll have our wee ones attending too.

This may lead to last minute cancellations of groups and no regular events or activities which makes us sad 😔💔

If there's any parents, grandparents, aunts ect willing to volunteer to help each week or every other week we'd be very grateful 🙏

Gooooood Morning Everyone 😁
Long post!

So, sadly I'm on with a bit of bad news first, due to paperwork not being completed properly we are unable to run next week's group. I am hoping it's just a slight delay and hope you understand 💔
We are all new to this and something like missing a little signature has put a wee barrier in our way. I am hoping it's only a week but of course I'll keep you all posted 🙏

WE ARE LOOKING FOR COMMITTEE MEMBERS 😀

We are sorry to see Erin leave so soon after starting up but wish her all the best with her exciting plans🥰
We have a Chairperson, Secretary & our new Treasurer Claire Fraser 👋
We would really LOVE to build our group up so new ideas keep flowing, the group has more hands on deck with setting up, serving teas & coffee or even if anyone is good with the odd social media post!
No member can do to much or to little, we're a lovely group of girls and would love to welcome other parents, aunties, grandads, childminders to our group. Anyone is welcome to join.

You don't need to be local to Watten either, (I'm a Wicker) you can be involved as much or as little as you'd like. Be part of something great creating the best group for our wee ones. ❤

Just fire us a message here and we'd LOVE to hear from you!

Thank you so much for the great turnout we got today!
We hoped you all had a great time, I know my wee one definitely did! It was brilliant meeting so many of you, and all saying how great it is to see the group back up and running!

Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances I am unable to stay on the committe for the Watten Wee Ones but I will be still going to the group each week so I will still be seeing you all. The committe is always looking for new members, if you are interested please message the page!

Thank you so much for the best first day we could have hoped for and if you feel there was anything missing or anything we could add to the group please message the page.

Today is the day!🥳

We are so excited to see you all at Watten Wee Ones!
Just a reminder that the group is held in Watten Hall, from 10am to 12pm. The entrance for the group is at the back of the hall (where the car park is). There is no requirement at all for you to be there at ten or for you to stay the full two hours. Stay as long or as little as you and your wee one would like!
Your first session is free and after that it is £2 per child.

Please bear with us today as it is our first week and we are just finding our feet. We are also down a member today so there won’t be organised activities or any singing in groups but we do have lots of stations with different toys, activity toys and sensory learning for all 0-3 year olds.

We hope you enjoy yourself and can’t wait to see you 🙈

Hello all,

We are so excited for our group starting tomorrow. 🥳

Just a little housekeeping first;
To enter the building, go to the back of the building (where the car park is) and there is a door. This is our entrance to the main hall. There will be a sign up at the main road and there will be a sign on the door so you all know ☺️
In the building, we will be using the disabled toilet, so that we are not mixing with the Early Learning Centre. There is nappy changing facilities in the toilet.

Hello all!

We are so excited for Tuesday for our first week! Just a small post about what you can expect at our group:
Each week we will have a theme however the first week we are just hoping to meet all you lovely people and see who is actually coming to the group!
There will be crafts and messy play, some sensory play and some active toys so more than enough activities for ages 0-3.
There will be tea and coffees available with some home baking and healthy snacks for the wee ones.

We are hoping to add more people to our committee, please get in touch if your even the littlest bit interested, you can take as little a role as you’d like!

We have also been thinking of organising trips in the summer months while fundraising for these in the winter time. Would the trips be something you would be interested in?

Please help us by giving us feedback of what you would like the Watten Wee Ones to be!❤️

Hello everyone,

Tonight, we finally have the confirmation that we can get back into Watten Hall to hold our group!

We would love to hear from any parents/ carers who would be interested to join the committee. You do not need to take a role in the committee. Please remember you do not have to live in the Watten area, our group is open to everyone, and aims to provide the opportunity to meet other parents/ carers and support each other and the local community. Becoming a committee member is not onerous and members can commit to as much, or little, time as they feel comfortable!

If you feel this is something that may interest you, or you would like to know more, then please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Once again we would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported our group, and we can not wait to see it back up and running in the very near future!

Hey everyone. How’s it going?

Just thought I’d pop on and let you know that last night we had a very successful handover meeting with three lovely girls who are keen on taking over the Watten Wee Ones group and making it their own.

Myself, Laura and Lynsey will step down as committee members and the new girls will take on the roles to run the group the way they want to.

At the moment, the group is still not able to use the Watten Hall so the girls may look at a different venue or wait to see if anything changes soon.

In the meantime, watch this space to find out more about how it’s changing, progressing and moving forward.

We wish the girls all the best and we will be sad to step down from our “baby” but it’s been fun and great to meet so many of you and we are so glad that the group is carrying on rather than folding completely.

Thanks for being part of it and supporting our group and we hope you continue to support it under the new committee too 🥰🥰

Hello everyone,

This is a longer post but please bear with us.

We have had a few people get in touch with us recently to ask about when we are able to start our toddler group back up, and a few lovely new people asking to come too.

The three of us here at WWO HQ have had a get together and it is with a very heavy heart that we have come to the decision that we are unable to continue in our current positions on the WWO committee due to personal circumstances.

Creating Watten Wee Ones was an amazing experience and meeting everyone who came to support our little group was fantastic. We have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the committee for this little group and it is exciting to see where it can go now that restrictions are beginning to ease.

We would love to hear from any parents/ carers who would be interested to join the committee and take over the running of the group. Please remember you do not have to live in the Watten area, our group is open to everyone, and aims to provide the opportunity to meet other parents/ carers and support each other and the local community. Becoming a committee member is not onerous and members can commit to as much, or little, time as they feel comfortable. The three of us will be happy to answer any questions or provide support if needed.
