A cracking day at HQ yesterday with great support for our 1st XI securing a vital win against Parkhead CC!

A brilliant partnership of 143 between H***y (69) and Mikey (58) and great bowling from Imran (6 for 68) helped take us within one win of promotion.

Thanks to all our Members who came along to support, including our main Club Sponsors Utility Source Ltd to whom we again extend our gratitude.

We're a fortnight away from our Big Day and we're pleased to announce the 6 Teams competing in our Softball Cricket Competition!

The Junior Professionals

In a shock twist, we won't get a repeat of last year's final as both sides from The Cottage have been drawn in the same group. That means that the Group One sees the battle of the Egg Chasers, as our very own Rugby Club will be hoping to beat Dearne Valley! The remaining two spots are filled by our Ladies Team under the watchful eye of Little Barney and our Junior Pros - who will be high on Fanta and Choc Ice.

We've got all the usual entertainment throughout the day - Pop Up Food Stalls, Cocktail Bar and Live Music from ABBA TWO after the cricket has finished!

Our man Mark Wilson helped his Country to a victory in the Over 60s World Cup against Scotland.

He took 1-20 from 9 overs, which to be honest is a little expensive mate!

Well done Jock - keep doing yourself proud.

BEACH PARTY UPDATE

Don't forget our Annual Beach Party will be held on Sunday August 30th!

We'll have all the usual fun and games, including the Softball Cricket Competition, Cocktail Bar and Music throughout the day!

We'll be welcoming both Twisted Pig Doncaster and Rhys's Pizzas to keep you all well fed!

We'll also be hosting a special live performance from ABBA TWO - so all you Dancing Queens can show your faces...
