this just in...
Hi...I am going to try to have a reunion of classmates of...wait for it...4B of 1960/61.
Our form teacher was a wonderful chap ..Mr Dawson.
Less said of the then Headmaster called Coales the better.
Some of us attempted this some 30 years ago, but it unfortunately came to nothing.
As all of us of that year are 70, or approaching that age, it's now or never.
Could I post something on the school's FB page to get the ball rolling.
thanks in advance

Back in the day when I* ran coding clubs at the school, one of the programming systems I never quite got around to teaching was Netlogo. I've been looking at it again in the light of the current coronavirus events. Netlogo is a simulation software package - and it, it comes with a variety of simulation models, such as this one: https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/models/Virus.
It may be of interest to some of you - especially anyone who used to go to the coding club sessions.
* ("I" = Gordon Campbell. This was a page I set up for CJS some time ago, but they are not using it. I was going to delete it but decided that it may be useful for people to connect. For some reason, this post may look like it's official school business, but it's just me :) )
NetLogo Models Library: Virus Ecological biologists have suggested a number of factors which may influence the survival of a directly transmitted virus within a population. (Yorke, et al. "Seasonality and the requirements for perpetuation and eradication of viruses in populations." Journal of Epidemiology, volume 109, pages 103-...
This page was created by me (Gordon Campbell) when I was responsible for the school's IT support, but as with Mrs Campbell, the previous head, I've been pretty much retired since then. Anyway, I've been contacted by the school who were wondering who owned this page. The school does not currently wish to use the page and I'm sure that it won't be missed, so this post is just to say, so long, farewell, I bid you all adieu, etc. It'll be sent to the great electronic bin fairly soon now, once I get around to working out what to do😚.
Mrs Campbell is leaving! She would love the company of any ex-pupils/ex-members of staff on Thursday 21st July 3.30-5.30 - please pass on!

The last ever starlight walk in aid of the Watford peace hospice is on tomorrow night. Five intrepid Cassiobury staff are doing the walk and would love to have your support. If you haven't chipped in already, now is a great time to do it. To encourage them on their way, please sponsor them by visiting https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/cassioburyjunior
Team Cassiobury The Starlight Walk is back for it's 10th year and is bigger and better than ever!
During the week beginning 19th May we will be holding ‘Aspirations Week’ at Cassiobury Junior School. We would love to hear from any of our followers (but particularly ex-pupils) who would be willing to come along to talk about their job or career path. If you have an unusual or 21st century job or are currently following a unique career path we would be even more interested, so that our children have their horizons broadened. We are also keen to challenge stereotyping – so if you’re a female in a traditionally male-dominated role or vice-versa, we would love to hear from you.
All volunteers will be gratefully received – please send an email to [email protected] marked for the attention of Alison Campbell
We will be closed tomorrow, Monday 21st Jan. Site visits during the day and evening together with forecast temperatures and snowfall mean that the local roads, car park and site will be unsafe. We will update this info on Monday PM. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Please note, the school will close at 1 PM TODAY due to adverse weather conditions, forecasts and hazardous local roads. You may collect your child earlier if you wish. Please walk if possible
