Jodie Bunker Coaching I focus on helping women build muscle to feel strong and confident …
THE SMART WAY! Under my guidance you can achieve the look you want, STRONG IS FEMENINE!

In the gym I use an evidence based approach following a Postgraduate Masters Degree in Strength and Conditioning for results. I found a love for Olympic Weightlifting whilst learning the lifts during an MSc in Strength and Conditioning. It enabled me to unlock my strength and I am now more confident that I have ever been. I'm not saying you need to Olympic Lift but what I am saying is that strength training will give you the results you want and no it wont make you bulky.

Thank you to everyone for wishing me luck for last weekends competition. As you can probably tell from this snap, I was incredibly excited to finish 3rd 🥉and exceed the English National Championships 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 qualifying numbers. Cross your fingers for me in securing a place at the English for a second time 🤞

You could be saying well Jodie why is there a barbell pad then, but my answer to you is that the barbell pad if for barbell hip thrusts. Is that an exercise you have tried before?

We might use the barbell pad if you have a predisposed spine/ bone condition but we could argue that there would be a better squat variation for you to do in this instance anyway.

CLAIRE is on fire …. 🔥🔥🔥

Claire has teamed up with Lindsay for 1:2 PT and honestly… the effort + intensity these two bring together in a session is absolutely fuelling PBS towards the end of this training block left, right and centre!

Claire can now rep out 💪 4 CONSECUTIVE UNASSISTED CHIN-UPS. Yep. FOUR. So now we’re chasing 10. 👀

We’ve also seen an 🏋️‍♀️ 85KG HEXBAR DEADLIFT. A LIFETIME PERSONAL BEST for Claire right there. 🔥

What makes some of Claire’s numbers even more impressive is where this journey started. When she first came to me, she was understandably a little sceptical about just how much she’d actually be able to do in the gym because of persistent knee pain.

So we didn’t rush it.
We started at the bottom.
Small, controlled exposures. Gradually increasing what her knees could tolerate. Building strength, confidence and capacity one step at a time.

And now?
In different training blocks she’s been able to Lunge, Deadlift and Squat through different variations she once may not have imagined herself doing.

We have been building capacity, and consistently exposing the body to what it can tolerate whilst over time gradually asking it to do a little more, and that’s where the progress is!

Claire has absolutely put the work in over the years. 👏

So let’s just take a moment for Claire…
🔥 4 unassisted chin-ups
🔥 85kg lifetime-best deadlift
🔥 Stronger knees
🔥 More confidence
🔥Increased muscle mass
🔥Back gain definition
🔥Increased capacity
🔥 And absolutely no signs of slowing down

Claire, you’re an absolute weapon. Keep going, and make sure you have another pre gym banana snack before your session next week! 💪

🔥 CLIENT RAVE — LINDSAY! 🔥

It feels like things have really started to click for Lindsay in this training block — and the progress is fantastic to see! 👏

She’s been putting in the work alongside Claire (her 1:2 PT training buddy), and I’m sure there have been plenty of those “are we seriously doing this again?” looks between them 😂… but they always get the job done!

The results are speaking for themselves. 💪

🏋️‍♀️ Leg press at 135% of her bodyweight
💪 New standards being set on the dumbbell floor press
🔥 Pulling her own bodyweight in inverted rows
📈 Muscle mass is up
📉 Body fat is down
Consistently showing up every week‼️‼️

And when I throw in a last-minute blast on the SkiErg or rower to work on her cardiovascular health alongside our strength work, she doesn’t shy away from it! 🚣‍♀️🔥

Lindsay has been consistent for years, week in week out she prioritises time in the gym to better her health and I hope that she is very proud of the routine she has created for herself which enables her to show up and invest in herself. I know I am 🎉🙌🏼🫶

These guys are completely different in SO many ways since starting their journey in the gym it’s really hard to know where to start ….

Marathons, half marathons & 10k races these guys are all over it and since they’ve started training in the gym their race times have been improving 🎉

They’ve both definitely seen a body compositional change with Pritesh dropping a very decent amount of body fat and building lean muscle tissue and Awing seeing so much muscle gain that she’s now got an excuse to hit the town and get some shopping done. (P.s the definition in Awing’s upper body is actually Insane!)

The two of them attend their 1:2 PT together with me and carve out additional time to constantly hit the gym a further 2x a week on their RWR programme despite their busy working schedule.

Well done to Pritesh 🎉 for overcoming a running injury this past year, through this time you continued to prioritise the gym enabling you to maintain what you had built whilst still progressing in the relevant areas.

I am so thrilled for the both of you with how you have adopted the gym into your routine and are prioritising your health now and for the future. You are fighting against muscle sarcopenia, osteoporosis, dynapenia, fragility, cardiovascular disease, joint degeneration and so much more!

We’ve got our goals set for the coming weeks and I am SO excited to see what you can both pull out of the bag. A very big well done! 🔥💪🏼🤗

Becoming the strongest, healthiest and most capable version of *YOU* does not mean keeping yourself as the smallest version of you.

A conversation I had with a client recently got me wanting to say a few words …

When you’re building muscle, your body is supposed to change.

Your old size might not fit in the same way. Your jeans might feel tighter in places, your measurements might increase and your weight might go up. Now i’m not saying this to scare you, I’m saying this to remind you that these aren’t things we need to be avoiding if it has come from muscle gain and is enabling us to be better, stronger and healthier.

These changes can feel uncomfortable when we’ve spent years believing that smaller = better … I get it.

But here’s your reminder:

You’re still feminine. You’re still you. Your body changing doesn’t change who you are.

Please don’t tie your worth to a number on the scale, or the way a piece of clothing fits.

Some of the numbers going up doesn’t automatically mean you’re going backwards. It could mean you’re fuelling your body, building muscle, getting stronger and becoming healthier.

You’re allowed to take up space.
You’re allowed to get stronger.
You’re allowed to let your body change.

Because the goal was never to be the smallest version of you.

It’s to be the strongest, healthiest version of you. 🤍

Muscles are a good thing, they show strength, patience, resilience, commitment and health. In a world where so much can be bought, be proud of what you’ve built and earned 💪🏼

Here’s a pic of us girlies with our muscles out!

Today I want to shine a spotlight on the incredible Ali. 👏❤️

Over the course of her journey, Ali has lost an amazing 19kg (42lbs), but what makes her achievement even more inspiring is everything she has accomplished beyond the scales.

With a highly demanding career, long working hours, and all of life’s challenges that inevitably arise, Ali has remained committed to herself and her health for years.

She recently had a second health check, and the results reflected just how much her commitment to improving her health — through better daily choices and consistent time spent in the gym — has been paying off.

💪 From previously being pre-diabetic, Ali has transformed some of her health markers:
✔️ HDL and triglycerides within normal ranges
✔️ Glucose and HbA1c readings optimal
✔️ Optimal blood pressure
✔️ A younger heart age

These are the kinds of changes that truly matter. The changes that improve quality of life, support long-term health, and create a stronger future.

As well as the changes to her health, I am incredibly proud of the relationship she is building with her body. It’s rooted in respect, self-care, and trust rather than punishment or restriction and that is something worth celebrating.

Ali, I hope you hold your head high and recognise just how far you’ve come. Your dedication, resilience, and willingness to keep working on yourself despite every obstacle is truly inspiring.

The weight loss is phenomenal, but the healthier, stronger, more confident woman you’re becoming is the real success story. ❤️

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to coaching you at silly o’clock three mornings a week. You’re a fantastic role model to so many women, and I’m incredibly grateful that you’ve trusted me to be part of your journey.

That said, don’t think any of the above gets you out of doing lunges!

See you at 7:30am — be ready 🤭
