AND RELAX...
Another successful residential over! The reason our residential are so successful really comes down to the dedication of the staff. Mrs Rookes, Miss Rispin, Mr Frankish, Mrs Walton, Mrs Ord, Mr Reay & Mrs Brown have worked incredibly hard to make the visit successful, happy and memorable! Our trip to London has been filled with many laughs, jokes, singing and (some) learning!
Our visit faced some new challenges this year, but we made it work and the children were an absolute pleasure.
It takes a lot of hard work to organise any school visit, but the work that goes into planning a residential is huge. It is really important to us all at Ribbon that we are able to offer our children something extra special.
I'm sure the children are exhausted tonight, but over the weekend I'm sure you'll learn all about our visit.

ARRIVAL TIME
We are expecting to be back at 9.15.
The coach will be parking on the road in the bus stop outside the library. It is really important that parents keep the approach to school clear: please avoid parking directly in front of the school and opposite the library.
We will get all of the luggage off the coach first. Children will then get off the coach in small groups.
It will take some time to get the luggage off the coach so please bear with us.
ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME
We’ve now left the Harry Potter Studios. We’re aiming to be at the service station for our evening McDonald’s around 6pm. It is looking like we won’t be back at school any earlier than 8.30.
I will update parents once we join the A19 before York.

MORNING
After going around the rooms to wake most children up, I can confirm that you will have a very quiet evening and weekend with your children!
This morning we’re planning on leaving for Harry Potter at 10am. The children are currently packing their bags before hitting another all-you-can-eat breakfast!

We made it!
Day 2
Well, what a day! Sometimes things don’t always go to plan!
Due to a protest in Parliament Square we arrived late for our cruise, which meant we arrived a little later than expected at the London Eye. The dilemma we faced was to 1) miss the London Eye to make it to the restaurant or 2) go on the London Eye and get a ‘Hard Rock Takeaway’ to eat on the coach. The children chose to go on the London Eye.
We’re now hotfooting it across London to get to Hard Rock before we go to see Wicked!
