The excitement is building as the children and staff come together to celebrate England playing in the World Cup tonight! ⚽🏴

While we’re cheering on England, we’re also taking this opportunity to learn about and celebrate all the nations taking part in the tournament. The World Cup is a wonderful chance to embrace different cultures, show respect for one another, and promote inclusivity, friendship, and teamwork.

A huge THANK YOU to all our wonderful children, families, staff and local businesses who supported our fundraising efforts for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Throughout the week, we raised money through a superhero dress up day, raffle ticket sales, a delicious bake sale, wear yellow day and a sponsored dance. The enthusiasm, kindness and community spirit shown by everyone was truly amazing.

We are delighted to share that together we raised an incredible £722.00!

🦋 Butterflies enjoyed a creative painting activity today. Exploring different colours and textures in this unique way encouraged sensory development, strengthened fine motor skills, and supported hand eye coordination, all while having lots of fun expressing their creativity. 🎨✨

Our Young Owls children had lots of fun cooling down with a shaving foam and ice tuff tray activity featuring arctic animals! 🧊🐧❄️

This fun activity supported fine motor skills, language development and creativity, while helping everyone stay cool in the warm weather ☀️💙

Today our preschool children experienced true awe and wonder when they discovered a snail and a tiny baby snail in our outdoor area 🐌✨ The children carefully observed them, asked thoughtful questions, and worked together to create a safe little habitat to protect them.

Moments like these help children develop curiosity, empathy, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of the natural world around them. Through hands-on experiences, children learn to care for living things while building confidence in exploring and discovering their environment. 💚

This week during our staff meeting, the team took part in training focused on awe and wonder and inclusion within the nursery environment. ✨🌎

We explored how creating meaningful, exciting experiences helps children to become curious, confident learners while ensuring every child feels valued, included and supported. By reflecting on our practice together, we continue to build an environment where all children can thrive, develop positive relationships and feel a true sense of belonging. 💛

Butterflies 🦋 had an exciting morning incorporating the five little ducks into their play dough activity! 🦆The children enjoyed squashing, rolling and counting the ducks while singing songs together. 🎶

These fun activities help to support fine motor skills, early maths development, language and communication, as well as encouraging confidence and social interaction through group play. 💚
