Gardening Club has been busy in the playground! We have added even more plants to our beds, including squash and a variety of colourful annuals. The children also worked together to create a fence using sticks and string to help protect our growing plants. Signs will be added soon to remind everyone to keep off the planting beds and help our garden thrive. 🌿🌼

What an exciting first week back! 📚✨

Our Year 4, 5 and 6 children had the amazing opportunity to take part in a fantastic workshop with author Ben Lyttleton The children were fully engaged, inspired and eager to share their ideas as they explored the world of writing, storytelling and creativity.

It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, curiosity and confidence from all of the children throughout the session. A huge thank you to Ben for such an inspiring and memorable experience! 🌟📖

We planted some beautiful new flowers and plants in the school beds, learnt the names of different plants, and designed posters to remind our school community not to dig or walk on our lovely new plants. 🌼🪴

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived—our eggs are starting to crack and we’ve already welcomed some fluffy new arrivals! 🥚✨

There’s lots of egg-citement in Reception as the children watch our chicks make their big debut. More little ones are on the way… it’s truly egg-ceptional! 💛

Welcome back! 🌟

Today in Year 1 we began exploring the world of Shakespeare and the Globe Theatre. We used Google Earth to find the Globe and the children were fascinated by its unique O shape!

To bring our learning to life, we recreated the theatre using card strips, carefully folding them to make our own O-shaped structures. There was lots of creativity, teamwork, and excitement as we built our mini Globes! 🎭

We can’t wait to continue our Shakespeare journey!

A huge well done to our very own Gavinu and the talented pupils of Lanchester Primary! 🎨✨

We were so proud to be part of the community fun day at Watford Leisure Centre – Central last weekend. A special shout-out to Gavinu, who won the school drawing competition! 🏆

The highlight of the day was definitely meeting Team GB star and Gladiator, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey He was so impressed with the artwork and the energy from our pupils. It was an amazing day celebrating the new £3m facilities in our community. 💪🏃‍♂️

Well done to everyone who took part! 🌟
