HOW MUCH TIME ARE YOU GIVING AWAY IN THE SWIM? 🏊♂️🇪🇸
This athlete arrived on our Mallorca Triathlon Training Camp swimming at approximately 2:00/100m.
Following his Swim Video Analysis & Stroke Correction Session, we identified where changes could be made and took those corrections straight back into the water.
The result?
🏊 Arrival pace: 2:00/100m
📈 New consistent pace: 1:49/100m
🔥 Repeated 100s: 1:44/100m
⚡ Best 100m: 1:39
Now put that into an Ironman.
At 2:00/100m, a 3.8km swim projects to approximately 1:16:00.
At his new consistent 1:49/100m, that becomes approximately 1:09:02.
Nearly 7 minutes faster over 3.8km.
And when he's holding 1:44/100m?
Approximately 1:05:52 — more than 10 minutes faster.
All from identifying what was actually costing him speed and then working on the corrections.
But for a triathlete, this isn't only about the clock.
Improved stroke mechanics and efficiency can mean arriving at T1 having used less energy, leaving more available for the bike and run.
