As my athletes know, it’s been a rough 12 months for me personally with some family bereavements and serious illnesses, but also full of amazing opportunities in my work life that have been time consuming but impossible to say no to so I’ve been struggling with time, overwhelm and my mental health. Managing to fit my study around all of this, and producing work that was ok, but didn’t feel like my *best* work… as well as being sick while writing my final end of year project… well… if I’m honest, I expected to scrape a pass so to get 73% on my final assessment and 72% for the year… I’m thrilled!
There have been times this year when I’ve questioned why I’m studying a degree, but I firmly believe that a growth mindset is fundamental for a good coach, and challenging myself is a good thing. Even when I’ve been chugging coffee and questioning my life choices. 🙊
Study for Applying sport and exercise sciences to coaching starts in sept! Hopefully this year will be a little smoother…
