Watford Partnership for Teacher Training

The very essence of what we stand for at The Watford Partnership was demonstrated today through collaboration with Mr. Curwen from Watford Boys and Ms. Crawley from Parmiter’s, who led sessions for our ECTs on SEND and Visible teaching, hosted by The Reach Free School

An absolutely fantastic second Watford Partnership Teach Meet today, hosted at The Reach Free School. We enjoyed wonderful presentations from over 6 schools and more than 35 stalls from over 18 primary and secondary schools. A great event all round! Thanks to everyone who organised, sponsored (Vocosa), attended, and presented. You inspired all who participated to develop through this training event.

This event aims to bring together staff from across our partnership to share best practice, showcase great ideas, and connect with fellow educators from both primary and secondary settings.

We will begin with a small number of 10-minute whole-group presentations, followed by a marketplace of stalls where colleagues can demonstrate strategies, share resources or simply talk about what’s working well in their classrooms.

We were delighted this week to host 20 trainee teachers from the University of Hertfordshire for their Intensive Training and Practice module, which focuses on modelling in the classroom. As part of this process, the trainees observed a variety of lessons and gained valuable insights from the sessions led by Parmiter's School teachers and students.

We are thrilled to welcome The Inclusivemat and all its schools to The Watford Partnership for the 2025/26 academic year! We look forward to collaborating, developing, training, and inspiring with everyone. This brings the total number of schools in the partnership to 22 this year!
