AAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDD we are BACK in school! Everyone has grown over the summer, everyone is happy and we have some new friends too. Welcome back to school, the place where parents may or may not have been celebrating on their way back to the car after morning drop off 🤣. But the children are ready to go and sooo much has already been accomplished just being back one week.

School is now closed for the summer holidays from 24th July until 24th August.
We'd like to thank all of our pupils, families, staff, and supporters for another fantastic year and wish everyone a safe, happy, and relaxing summer break. 🌼

☀️ Stanborough Primary School’s Summer Fun Challenge ☀️

We are excited to launch our Summer Fun Challenge for all Stanborough Primary School pupils, families and friends!
The summer holidays are a wonderful opportunity to relax, spend time together and create special memories. To help make the most of the break, we have put together 30 fun activities for children to enjoy throughout the summer.

From exploring the outdoors and getting creative, to helping in the kitchen, learning new skills and enjoying quality family time, there is something for everyone. Children can tick off each activity as they complete it and see how many challenges they can achieve before returning to school.

⭐ Can you complete all 30 activities?
⭐ Will you take on the Bonus Challenge and complete every square before school starts?

There are no prizes needed for this challenge, the real reward is enjoying new experiences, developing new skills and spending valuable time with family and friends. Be Sun Safe! ☀️

Sunny days are made for fun, but it's important to stay safe in the sun! Encourage children to remember these simple sun safety tips: wear a wide-brimmed hat, apply SPF 30+ sunscreen, seek shade during the hottest part of the day, wear sunglasses to protect their eyes, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Together, we can help our children enjoy the outdoors while protecting their skin and staying healthy.

🍓🍌 Looking back at a wonderful year in Nursery & Reception! 🍎🍇

Before the summer holidays, our Nursery and Reception children had a fantastic time making their own fruit salad. They practised their cutting skills safely, explored different fruits, and enjoyed creating a healthy, colourful snack together.
Activities like this help to develop fine motor skills, independence, confidence, and healthy eating habits, all while having lots of fun!

As we look back on the many exciting learning experiences from this year, we're also looking ahead to welcoming new families. We have places available from Nursery through to Year 6.

We have been up to so many things this term. even though we are on Summer Break, have a look at some of the wonderful things we have been doing. Years 1-6 made their very own Tie-Dye T-Shirts! this was an amazing experience to see how scrunching, twisting and folding the t-shirt gave differing pattern and colours. Its safe to say that the children wear these often!

This summer, we were delighted to welcome around 30 pupils as part of this programme. From Brazil, Romania, and France came to experience life at our caring school through our English as a Foreign Language School Experience programme.

Rather than simply learning English in a classroom, our visitors became part of our school community, immersing themselves in everyday school life alongside our pupils. From LAMDA and Spanish lessons to outdoor play, creative learning, and making new friendships, they experienced what makes our school so special.

With the sunshine making a welcome appearance, there were plenty of memorable moments too – water fights, refreshing watermelon breaks, and well-earned ice lollies kept everyone smiling throughout the week! ☀️🍉🍦

Every day also included a delicious freshly prepared vegetarian lunch, made from scratch by our wonderful kitchen team, reflecting our commitment to healthy, nutritious food for every child.

For just £100 per day, our programme offers an authentic English school experience in a nurturing environment where children build confidence, improve their English naturally, and create lifelong memories.

🎓 Graduation Day 2026 🎓

Today we celebrate a very special milestone as each of our classes graduated and marked the end of another successful year of learning, growth and achievement.

To all of our children, we are so proud of everything you have accomplished. Your hard work, resilience and kindness have helped make this year one to remember, and we can't wait to see what you achieve next.

A particularly poignant congratulations goes to our wonderful Year 6 graduates. As you prepare to begin your exciting journey into secondary school, remember to believe in yourselves, embrace every opportunity and never stop being curious. You will always be a valued part of our school family, and we know you will continue to shine wherever your next chapter takes you.

We're also delighted to share where our Year 6 children are heading next. The destination data below reflects the many exciting pathways our pupils have taken as they move on to secondary education (2020-2026).
