Shining Star 🌟 Award

Guess who won networker of the year ….
Me woo hoo 🥳. I was not expecting it as there are so many worthy winners.
I can’t tell you how happy I am & had to go out with my hubby to celebrate 🍾.

Thank you Lisa Sinnott for such lovely words & nomination. I know my lovely friend Jane Unwin also nominated me. Thanks 🙏🏻 to every one else who did.

Businesswomen UnLtd has been the best thing that happened to me since starting my business. I have managed different size teams for many years, then going out on my own meant losing that support. These lovely bunch of people then became my colleagues & greatest supporters plus friends. Thank you Debbie Gilbert for setting up such an amazing group & happy 15 year business birthday 🎂.

Thanks again now I am off to walk on cloud 9.

An Organised Kitchen

An organised kitchen helps in many ways so don’t underestimate a good declutter even if it’s a drawer or cupboard at a time.

💙 Helps reduce stress bringing calm to the kitchen & makes meal prep more enjoyable.

💙 Saves time 🕰️ looking for ingredients, utensils & dishes etc.

💙 Makes cleaning easier if you have clutter free space.

💙 Cuts down food waste if you can see what you have & use up what’s expiring.

💙 Saves money from duplicate buying.

💙 You can maximise space by buying clever storage.

A well organised kitchen isn’t about just looking tidy, it helps your kitchen function efficiently. Not forgetting it makes everyday tasks easier.

One client after I finished her kitchen said “the house is breathing so much better”.

If you have any questions about tips or storage ideas please get in touch. Remember tidy home 🏡 tidy mind.

Wardrobe Declutter

I love ❤️ a wardrobe declutter & giving advice on the best things for each individual client. Everyone is different & we all have varying amounts of storage.

I sent my lovely lady photos of scarf 🧣 hangers, belt organiser & jewellery sorters.

When you have plenty of space we organised everything into categories & managed to create enough room not to have to pack winter/ autumn clothing away.

Hangers are important & my top tip is to never use wire ones, they do nothing for your fabrics & can leave items misshaped.

We had a really good session in the heat & managed to donate a black bag to the charity shop. My client had already had a big clear out last year 😊.

If you need any advice on sorting your wardrobe get in touch.

Have a lovely day & don’t forget tidy home tidy mind.

My Organising & Decluttering Week

So far this week I have been to Barnet, Berkhamsted & Brookmans Park it’s all about the B’s.

Barnet was a regular lovely lady who I food shop for and maintain a tidy flat. We always have an issue with excess papers & clothes which is soon fixed.

Berkhamsted is my long term weekly lovely client. I tidy, declutter, organise, meal plan, online food shop etc etc.

Brookmans Park was another lovely client who needed help with her daughter’s bedroom. We blitzed it together & organised so that everything has its place. We managed to get 5 black sacks of rubbish & recycling.

Had a lovely week & I am so lucky 🍀 to have such amazing clients.

Hope you are all having a good week & ready for the heat wave that’s on its way.
Stay safe in the sun ☀️ & enjoy the long weekend.

Don’t forget tidy home 🏡 tidy mind.

Why Labelling Your Office & Kitchen Changes Everything

A well labelled space does more than look tidy- it saves time, reduces stress & makes everyday tasks smoother.
Whether you are organising a busy family kitchen or creating an efficient home office, labels help everything stay in the right place & make it easier for everyone to keep the space organised long term.

In an office, labels speed up workflows & reduce clutter on desks & shelves.

In the kitchen, they make cooking & meal prep faster because ingredients & utensils are easy to locate.

I use a Dymo Letratag for my clients & in my home too. They are really simple to use & more economical than lots of fancy printers.

Labelling is a small change that creates a big impact. It turns cluttered spaces into organised systems that are easier to maintain & more enjoyable to use.

One question? Do you love a label?

Have a lovely week & remember tidy home/ office tidy mind 😊.

IKEA Visit

I haven’t been to IKEA in years & considering my career you can imagine I was like a kid in a sweet shop.
They have so many storage ideas 💡 for every room in your home.

I especially love all the solutions to organise your kitchen cupboards & drawers. How can you go wrong when lots of containers are only a £1 & even a cutlery organiser too if you don’t mind green 💚.

I think there Kallax units are amazing & they have so many choices of containers to fit in including various basket options, lots of colours & some for the little ones.

I have been researching for a clients kitchen session coming up & was pleased that they also home delivery 🚚.

I had a lovely time there & enjoyed the food too in the cafe.

Have you been to IKEA recently? Do you have a favourite product from there?

Have a lovely day & remember tidy home 🏡 tidy mind.

New Month New Goals

Do you set yourself goals each month or week?
If decluttering or organising a space inside or outside your home check out my previous posts for helpful hints & tips.

I have an ongoing to do list & each month I will prioritise a few tasks to get completed.

I am completing a programme with & I have learnt to change my habits by making them part of my routine. For example drinking more water 💦 by keeping a log, stop looking at my phone after 8pm to help with sleep etc. My favourite is going out for a walk after dinner to help with my blood sugar levels.

Keeping your home tidy & organised can be helped by changing your habits. Make your bed the minute you get out of it, tidy your kitchen tops before bed & filling the dishwasher or washing up not long after your meals. The list is endless but by introducing some each month it will really make a difference.

Have a fab long bank holiday weekend & if you need any advice get in touch 😊.

Remember tidy home 🏡 tidy mind.

Garage Organised For Moving Day

My client wanted to sort her garage ready to move. Took 5 hours to complete the tasks apart from the visits to the waste & recycling ♻️ centre.

We organised everything into categories
Auction
Donate
Keep
Bin
Recycle ♻️

We also sorted a section to be left for the new owners which included flooring , garden tiles & paint used currently in the house.

My car was full to be taken to the charity shop. It’s important to have a declutter before you move so you do not have to do it in your new home. It’s even more important if you are downsizing.

A lot of dumps as we used to call them have the usual spot for waste plus a section for items that can be recycled & sold on. Duplicate garden tools are a perfect example of something that shouldn’t be just binned. If you prefer use free cycle or Facebook groups in your area to donate.

Organised & labelled boxes make life so much easier when moving. My top tip is to always have a box 📦 with your kettle & bits to make hot drinks when you arrive at your destination. Make sure this goes with you not with the removal team 😊.

If you are moving soon & need any advice give me a shout.

Don’t forget tidy home 🏡 tidy mind 😊.

Have a great rest of the week & just think only 3 days till the long weekend 🥳.
