✨ Hair and Beauty at OpenSpace ✨

Do you have a budding stylist or makeup artist at home? Our Hair & Beauty sessions are the perfect place for them to get creative, learn new techniques, and build their confidence!

Here is what we cover in our hands-on sessions:

💇‍♀️ Hair Styling
Master a variety of techniques, from everyday plaits and intricate braids to fun, creative styles.

💅 Nail Art & Manicures
Learn the secrets behind professional nail art, gel application, and proper nail care.

💄 Makeup & Beauty
Build artistry skills, ranging from fresh everyday looks to stunning styles for special occasions.

🎓 Looking for Qualifications? (Optional Extra Course)
If your child loves our regular sessions and wants to take it further, we also offer a separate, optional course! Older students can enroll in this extra program to work towards fully accredited beauty qualifications with our professional training team.

Our regular sessions run on Fridays from 2:15pm - 3:15pm and 3:30pm - 4:30pm. They are suitable for ages 8+ and are a fantastic way to learn practical skills in a warm, welcoming environment.

We are SO SO excited to finally share some amazing news with you all!

We are now officially able to offer GCSE and A-Level exams for our students to sit right from the comfort of their own homes (and hopefully in-centre with us very soon too!). 🏡📚🏢

We know how daunting traditional exam halls can be, so being able to offer a familiar, stress-free environment for students to take their qualifications is an absolute game-changer.

This Wednesday is our SEND Parent and Carer Support Evening!

If you're looking for a low-pressure, relaxed, and calm environment to unwind, grab a hot drink, and connect with other parents and carers who truly understand, this is for you.

SEND Parent and Carer Support Evening 👥☕️

Wednesday 19 August, 6:00pm–8:00pm

The Family Hub at Open Space

We are delighted to be launching a new support evening for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND or additional needs.

The group will be facilitated by Lisa, who has experience of working in mainstream primary and secondary schools, as well as two specialist SEND schools. Lisa is also a SEND mum herself, bringing together professional knowledge, lived experience and a genuine understanding of the joys, challenges and complexities families may face.

This relaxed, welcoming and inclusive evening will offer an opportunity to:

• Connect with other parents and carers who may share similar experiences
• Talk openly within a supportive and non-judgemental environment
• Share ideas, experiences and helpful resources
• Explore the issues that matter most to local SEND families
• Help shape the future direction of the group
• Build a supportive local community and feel less alone

To help parents and carers feel able to speak openly and freely, this initial event is intended for adults only. However, we recognise that arranging childcare is not always possible. Please contact us if this would prevent you from attending. If there is sufficient interest, we will explore whether a separate, supported provision for children could be arranged alongside future meetings.

The first session will give parents and carers an opportunity to meet one another and share what they would value from an ongoing group, including possible topics, activities, resources and guest speakers.

Following feedback from the first evening, we hope to establish the group on a regular monthly basis, with a date agreed that works as well as possible for those involved.

🎶 Ages 5–8 – A fun, energetic introduction to music with games, rhythms, singing and the chance to try different instruments.

🎸 Ages 8–11 – Explore guitars, drums, keyboards and more in a relaxed, hands-on session designed to help children discover the instrument they enjoy most.

🎤 Ages 11+ – A welcoming, low-pressure environment where teenagers can pick up an instrument, plug in, experiment and build confidence - no previous experience needed.

With small groups, real instruments and a supportive atmosphere, Discover Music is all about inspiring a lifelong love of music while having fun.

The Cuddle Corner is coming to OpenSpace! 🐾

This is a brilliant opportunity for children to meet, stroke, and learn about a variety of friendly animals. The Cuddle Corner team brings a wonderful setup that is fully supervised and safe. It’s a lovely, relaxed way for kids to get up close with animals without the crowds of a large farm park - perfect for anyone who prefers a quieter, more gentle environment.

We are all so excited for this one..... "coincidentally" all of our staff and providers have asked to work this day.... hmmm! 🤔

The details you need:
When: Tuesday 11th August at 13:30 (1-hour session)
Where: OpenSpace Education Centre - Waterlooville

Tickets:
Standard Ticket: £15 (Includes 1 Adult & 1 Child)
Add-ons: £6 per additional sibling or 2nd adult

Note: Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Add-on tickets are strictly for members of the same household.
Spaces are strictly limited to keep things calm for the animals and the kids, so please book early to grab your spot.
