c, the arts and sport. We want children to leave Year 6 well-rounded and ready to start their secondary education with confidence. We are surrounded by beautiful grounds which include a large playing field, a multi-purpose playground and an adventure playground as well as an abundance of woodland so children can explore and play in the outside world. Sharing the school grounds with the neighbouring infant school, we have a capacity for up to 384 children aged between 7 and 11. With close links to the infant school, we can endeavour to ensure a smooth transition for any child wishing to join our loving, well-resourced and passionate school.

This year's Design and Technology Award goes to someone who has demonstrated outstanding creativity, practical skill and attention to detail throughout the year.

They have shown exceptional sewing skills, carefully designing and creating a fantastic commemorative cushion that reflected both precision and creativity. Their patience and craftsmanship were evident in every stage of the project, resulting in a finished product they should be incredibly proud of.

They also impressed us with their cooking skills during our pizza project, thoughtfully designing their own pizza before preparing and making it with confidence. Their creativity, organisation and practical ability shone throughout both projects.

Their talent, enthusiasm and high-quality work make them a thoroughly deserving winner of this award.

They write with purpose and adapt their style brilliantly for a range of audiences and genres. Their gothic horror writing is particularly impressive, creating suspense that keeps readers hooked from beginning to end. They carefully craft their ideas, choosing ambitious vocabulary and using a wide range of high-level punctuation with accuracy and effect to enhance their writing.

This year's Performance Award goes to someone who truly brought their character to life on stage and played a memorable role in our Year 6 production.

From the very first rehearsal, they embraced their character with enthusiasm, confidence and a great sense of humour. Their portrayal of an embarrassing dad had audiences laughing throughout the performance, and they captured every moment perfectly. Whether delivering lines, reacting to other characters or adding those extra touches that made the role so believable, they performed with skill and commitment.

Their confidence on stage, dedication during rehearsals and ability to entertain the audience made them a standout performer and a key part of the production's success.

This year's Achievement Award goes to someone who has worked incredibly hard throughout Year 6 and has made excellent progress across all areas of the curriculum.

From the beginning of the year, they have approached every lesson with determination, resilience and a positive attitude. As the months have passed, their confidence has grown tremendously, allowing them to take on new challenges, contribute more in class and believe in their own abilities. Their progress in every subject is a testament to their commitment, perseverance and willingness to always give their best.

They should be immensely proud of everything they have achieved this year and they are a thoroughly deserving recipient of this award.

This year's Geography Award goes to someone who has shown a real enthusiasm for learning about the world around them and has demonstrated an excellent understanding of the topics we have studied.

Throughout the year, they have developed a strong knowledge of rivers, confidently explaining key geographical features and processes. Their curiosity and thoughtful contributions in lessons have helped deepen discussions and shown a genuine interest in the subject. During our river study trip, they participated enthusiastically, worked collaboratively with others and made valuable contributions to the fieldwork activities, applying their classroom learning to the real world.
