What a fun filled Friday we’ve had!
Continued our theme of the week, ‘all about me’ today we’ve been talking about ‘families’ our morning activity Yas created trees for the children to colour on, then sat down 1-1 to tell yas who lived in their homes, and printed them onto the tree! They loved talking about who lived in their home and what pets they have! 🌳 🐶
Throughout freeplay, we sat down along the children and encourage play within a theme of the week, we spoke about brothers sisters, mums and dads, the children chose to pick up the babies and feed them a bottle, some were big brothers and sisters others were pretending to me mum or dad! Was lovely to see them use their imagination 💭
This afternoon we had a ‘table activity’ where Chantelle yas and Rachael had a group of children at the table, used a piece of paper and drew 2 eyes in the middle, the children used their imagination to create anything they could think of that had eyes, we had ‘monsters’ ‘SpongeBob’ ‘Elsa’ and some even drew their mummy and daddy! 👀
In the garden we all sat round in a circle and spoke about what we got up to in the holidays with our friends and family! Then continued to run off some steam by playing a game of ‘run’ ‘jump’ ‘walk’ and ‘stop!’ When asked! It’s been a busy creative day today the children have been fully engaged ❤️
Next week our theme is: favourite story!
