Childminding can be full-on, with very few real-time-out breaks during the day! But the absolute beauty of what we do is getting to support children, watch them thrive, and celebrate those little (and sometimes HUGE!) milestones along the way. ❤️

I’m so proud to say that we’ve recently had two children master potty training with flying colours! 🥳 What a huge achievement — and what a privilege it is to be part of that journey. So, so proud of R & E ! 😊

And then there was another little one who arrived wearing her high-top Converse… 👟 A perfect opportunity to start mastering those tricky shoelaces!

With lots of practice, an amazing “have a go” attitude, and sheer determination, she absolutely cracked it — in literally just a few days! 🙌

I sent our shoelace practice prop home to help her continue practising, and then received the most beautiful and heartwarming video showing her success! 🥹❤️

This little lady doesn’t even start school until next September, yet she has already mastered a new skill that gives her another little piece of independence.

Great work, P! ⭐️ I am SO proud of you!

These are the moments that make all the busy days so incredibly worthwhile. 💕

FIRST AID ⛑️

Yesterday I renewed and passed my Tigerlily paediatric first aid course 🥳. Anyone working in childcare needs to attend a course every 3 years….so off I went on bank holiday Monday !

So today we were all first aiders …and each child received a certificate ! We had such a fun and engaging activity that lasted absolutely ages. We discussed how we might hurt ourselves and how we might help ourselves and others in need of help. 💖

JULY 2026 onwards -FULL

I don’t have any availability until September 2027 (unless anyone’s requirements change in the meantime )

From September 2027:
Monday: 1 spaces
Tuesday FULL
Wednesday FULL
Thursday 1 space

These are all year round contracts, minimum of 8 hour day charge & minimum of 2 days is highly recommended due to settling in and getting the benefits of regular childcare.

Im always looking at ways to improve my setting and to ensure all children within my setting are safe, happy, comfortable and thriving in all ways.

There has recently been new and updated guidance regarding safer sleep due to some catastrophic errors within some settings. 😢

Following these updates, and in addition to our travel cots I’ve purchased new specific sleep mats for children to comply fully with the safe sleep guidance, we have new super soft fitted sheets and a super comfy safari blanket for each child.

I’ve also introduced their own little bag to keep their own bedding organised with their name and a picture of their interests ( which we all discussed what they would like and selected their favourite image off the internet!) so they can easily recognise their own bedding bag! The children have been so excited, they not only recognise their own bags but other children’s too !

I will always follow The Lullaby Trust guidance on safer sleep to ensure I’m providing the right level of care and the safest environment possible for the children I’ve been entrusted to look after.

All the children have taken to these changes brilliantly. I’m super proud of how the children take any changes I make for the better in their stride.

Well rested children are happy, ready to learn and ultimately thrive. ⭐️

Isn’t it lovely when you go to the park with 4 children and a parent with a child comes over and comments on how you’re so calm, relaxed and engaging with the children and can’t believe how easy you make it look! 🥰🥰

That will be my 30 years experience in childcare for you! !
