HAPPY WORLD BOOK DAY!

I know its been a while since I've posted on here. Life got a little crazy for a moment - new job, poorly children and then covid struck!! BUT what a great day to reappear!?

I love world book day! With so much technology around nowadays, it's so important for us to keep our children's love of reading physical books alive!

Hello!! 😊

I wanted to jump on here to say that I hope you have all had a very Merry Christmas and to wish you all a Happy New Year!! 🥳

Once normality gets up and running again in January, you can expect some lovely tips, ideas and activities to try at home to help develop your little ones skills before starting school!
D I D Y O U K N O W? Just investing 30mins - 1hour of your time per week towards building these skills with your child will help you see their progress grow over the weeks!

Here at HQ we have had such a lovely Christmas, albeit a bit manic! Christmas for us has consisted of Christmas Day, my birthday (boxing day) and then it was my youngest sons 1st birthday on the 28th! It has been so lovely to spend Christmas with my family and see the joy on my boys faces 💙
Then just like that 2022 is nearly upon us!
I dont usually make new years resolutions, but this year I think I'm going to try and stress less about the small stuff and live life in the moment more often! 😊

Our Little Letter Club sessions are now finished and will not be continuing in the new year! ☹

I have had such a blast with all the incredible children and Mummies that have joined me each week since September! I am really truly going to miss you all.
Thank you so very much for believing in the classes that I worked so hard to create, and for joining in and giving it your all. I hope you've all had as much fun as I have.

I started this journey to try and give as much of my knowledge as I could to parents and children to help them to be well prepared for school and to give them a love of learning. Although I haven't been able to make these groups work the way I had hoped, I do hope that I have been able to achieve this, if only for a short time! The children have made so much progress in such a small amount of time, and I am so proud of each and every one of them. (Just look at below at what amazing things they've achieved!)

Also a huge thank you to everyone who has liked and followed this page and our Instagram page too! You're support, likes, shares and interactions are also very much appreciated! ❤

As I have mentioned, this is not goodbye! This page will be staying active with tips, tricks and activities to do at home, as well as the odd video hopefully! Our email will still be active, so if you would ever like any help or advice with your children's pre school development, or just fancy a chat, please feel free to email or message any time!! We are still here, and we still care! ❤

This week our Sound Stars have been working extremely hard!
I have really challenged them this week by I teoducing not 1, but THREE new sounds - p, i, n! Then alongside all that we also continued to work on recognising, spelling and writing our names! I'm so proud of how well they have all done!

It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing this message this morning.

Unfortunately due to still having a small amount of interest in our sessions, they are sadly no longer financially viable to run :( Therefore our sessions will unfortunately no longer continue after Christmas.
(If you have already booked a space for January, than please don't panic, you will be contacted and a full refund will be made.)

This has been a very hard decision to make. I have thought about it almost constantly for what feels like forever. The Little Letter Club is something I love, and have worked so hard to plan and run. I adore running the sessions and seeing the children flourish in such a small amount of time, and I love being able to advise and support parents at the same time. I will miss you all.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has followed, liked and shared our posts. Your support is so appreciated. But I would especially like to thank all of the parents and children who have joined me up until now. Thank you for taking a gamble and believing in our sessions. Thank you for turning up every week and getting stuck into the activities with your children. Im sure they will thank you too. Without you guys The Little Letter Club would still only be a dream. You helped to make it reality, and gave me the opportunity to run these groups over the last 4 months.

BUT this isn't goodbye forever!! Please continue to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages. We hope that we will be able to use these platforms to continue to support and teach. We are unsure on exactly what this will look like at the moment, but it may come in the form of videos, and possibly courses that may run in the holidays. And maybe even one day our classes may be able to start up again! Watch this space!

But for now, thank you all again for all of your continued support! ❤

Another lovely end to the week this week with our Waterlooville and Horndean sessions on Thursday and Friday! 😊

This week our Sound Stars focused on the letter 't' but also worked hard to recap 's' and 'a'.
They also practised their cutting skills, and also identifying and writing the letters of their names to create beautiful name rainbows! 🌈

Another great week for our Little Listeners and Sound Stars 🤩

This week we focused on:

Little Listeners - Rhythm and Rhyme
Sound Stars - 'a'

This week the children worked hard to listen to which words rhyme, moving to a beat, recognising their name, counting letters of their name, starting to think about letter formation and having a go at writing letters on their own.
