Katrina's Childminding

Katrina's Childminding I'm an OFSTED registered childminder based in Waterfoot. Me : My name is Katrina, I live with my daughter Molly who is 12 years old.

I have been childminding for over a decade now, and am registered with OFSTED. I also hold qualifications in food hygiene, paediatric first aid, and child safeguarding. My setting : I childmind from my home in Bridgewood Close, Rawtenstall. We have an enclosed all weather rear garden, as well as a mini allotment next to the river out the front of the house. Typical activities : We tend to do lots

of arts and crafts, things like painting, making puppets, and baking. We have a large selection of toys and books, and encourage educational play. When possible I take the children on trips to local parks, aquariums, farms. I also regularly visit local playgroups, and meet with other childminders (trusted friends of mine) so we can meet other children and make lots of friends. I love this part of my job, watching children learn to play together organically. Sharing and talking with each other, even when their use of language isn't totally developed, they still communicate ideas and games with one another. 💕
